Princess Ievna felt foolish to think that Prince Reigen had finally believed her. Prince Reigen was indeed a cunning man, and someone with that character usually couldn't easily trust others because they were worried that others would deceive them.
Now that the prince admitted that he still didn't believe the red-haired girl, the girl's face went blank as her silver eyes glared at the annoying prince.
"You dare to glare at me, huh?" The prince noticed the unfriendly gaze and suddenly asked her while raising his voice. "This is Shovalon, a kingdom that Wemor had conquered. The witches of Wemor lived here for so many years before I managed to defeat them. Do you think I would believe anyone I meet here in such a situation?"
Prince Reigen was being realistic. He was originally not someone who easily trusted anyone, and when he met someone suspicious in Shovalon, his instincts didn't let him believe that person right away.
More or less, Princess Ievna could understand the prince's position and sigh before turning around and sitting on the chair. "You can continue your interrogation if you want, Your Highness. I just want to stay alive, and as long as you help me stay alive, then I will answer your questions."
Prince Reigen raised his eyebrows when he heard the girl's statement. The girl was quite tricky. She didn't directly bargain, but she did ask for something in return before she would be willing to answer the prince's question.
Smirking at the princess, Prince Reigen sat on the edge of the bed again and arrogantly looked at the princess. "You want me to help you keep you alive? You mean, I need to water you every day?"
That was an easy thing to predict. The red-haired girl said that her life depended on water, and of course, the girl would need water to stay alive. Now Prince Reigen couldn't distinguish the girl from a fish, which also needed water to survive. He secretly laughed at the pitiful princess.
'She's in such a pitiful situation, but she still wants to stay alive? What's her purpose?' The prince couldn't help but wonder in his heart as he continued staring at the girl.
"Yes, you need to water my red rose form every day, and I will answer all your questions. I can't water myself, so I will need someone to water me," Princess Ievna replied.
Prince Reigen nodded his head, but from his face, it seemed that he still had something he wanted to know. Therefore, he continued questioning, "So, I need to water you when you're in your red rose form? It won't work if I water you when you're in your human form?"
Prince Reigen once again questioned the princess, and the princess facepalmed before answering, "If you gave me water while I was in human form, then it wouldn't be called watering. It would be called bathing instead."
The golden-eyed prince finally burst out laughing at the girl's cold reply. "Actually, I can also give you a nice bath every day if you want," he replied cheekily.
The prince returned to his perverted side, and Princess Ievna glared at the prince once more. She remembered how the prince could easily strip in front of her, and she could guess that the prince was a bastard who liked to play with girls.
"There is no need to bathe me properly, and you just need to water my red rose form because that's how the curse works," replied Princess Ievna despite being annoyed with the perverted prince.
Prince Reigen had a serious expression on his face again after hearing the silver-haired princess' serious answer. "Will you feel full just by getting water every day?" He asked another question.
"I have lived as a red rose for fourteen years, and I have never had any problems surviving with only water. After all, I am no longer a normal human now. My body condition is not the same as yours, Your Highness."
Princess Ievna suddenly sounded gloomy. She didn't intend to appear so weak in front of the arrogant prince, but the prince's question reminded her that she was indeed different from normal humans.
When she transformed into her human form for the first time, she got the chance to question Sharass, who was visiting her at the tower back then.
Sharass visited her just so she could laugh at her miserable state, but Princess Ievna still asked the questions she wanted to know.
["I noticed that your servants watered me every day when I was still in the form of a red rose before Spring came. So, does it mean I only need water to live? I don't need to eat human food?"
Princess Ievna wasn't even eleven years old at the moment, but she was intelligent and quick to grasp the situation around her. And Sharass seemed amused by the princess' abilities.
"You will only change into your human form every Spring, so how can you eat human food during Summer, Autumn, and Winter? I was kind enough to give you an easy way to stay alive, Your Highness."
Sharass said that she was kind enough, but she knew that the witch had a different idea related to that circumstance.
"You just want me to realize that I'm no longer human, right? You want to torture me mentally, and because of that, you want me to rely on water instead of human food. I'm a red rose, and I'm not a human anymore, right?"]
Princess Ievna could see Sharass' true intentions, so she didn't buy it when the evil witch said she was good enough to her. Sharass just wanted to torture her like what she said before killing her parents.
The princess suddenly fell silent, and Prince Reigen could see that the red-haired princess was disturbed by something.
However, he chose to ignore the miserable expression on the princess' face as he said, "I'm willing to help you stay alive, so you can start answering my questions now, right?"
