Chereads / An Unexpected Find / Chapter 2 - 2. Elemental

Chapter 2 - 2. Elemental

His eyes settled on the beautiful girl with white hair. Not often do you find anyone with white hair, like his.. Her short skirt hugged her legs that looked so smooth. He took a swig of his drink.

"Alex you should come visit with all the ladies in here" Jackson swayed from the alcohol. Alex smirked and took another sip. The alcohol sliding down his throat like honey.

Alex pointed a finger with the same hand that held the glass and Jackson followed the direction of Alex's finger.

"Ah. I see you've already found someone to play with. That's okay, more for me." Jackson gave a wink and walked back to the room they had reserved.

Alex continued to watch the girl dance. her movements sensual and perfectly timed with the beat. His eyes flared with curiosity. How she danced like no one was watching. He continued to drink and look around, while not letting the mystery girl out of his sight.

Alex heard cheering coming from the room where his party was. He glanced behind his shoulder to see one of his friends, Ben, swirl his alcohol majestically around his fingers and in the air. The girls squealed with excitement.

"I've never met a water Elemental before!" the first girl squealed. "You're so amazing!" a second one joined in. Ben had women climbing over him while he did his tricks. Ben shouldn't just be flaunting his skills willy nilly. Alex sighed and took another drink.

Alex continued to hear cheers and giggles from behind them as Jackson also started to show the girls tricks. Their friend Danny attempting to keep them in line but failing miserably. Most of us are Elementals. Ben and Jackson have control over water, Danny over air, and Alex had the ability of fire.

Alex glanced over to his white haired beauty as she sat back down in a booth with her friends. They laughed and drank. He watched as her hair fell around her face when she moved. Alex enhaled deep and exhaled through his mouth. A small amount of heat traveled through the air to reach her.

Alex watched as she turned around and locked eyes with him. The corner of his lips lifting upward. Good. She felt it, He thought.

Lizzy had never seen such a handsome man, it was almost impossible to look away. His messy white hair, his half buttoned burgundy shirt, the way he leaned on the rail. She wished she could get closer to see him in better light. What a bad boy, Lizzy thought, would be better not to get involved with him at all. She finally breathed out and turned back to her table, as they had discussed going home.

"We'll definitely have to go out again soon!" Jordan beamed. she had such a bright personality. "I love you ladies!" She smiled.

"Love you ladies too!" Chris and Bailey cheered. Lizz smiled, "Okay. Let's catch a cab home hm?" they all agreed and paid their tab and grabbed a cab together.

Lizz took one last look over her shoulder at the balcony, but the man who once stood there was gone. She almost felt upset that he was no longer leaning there. She pursed her lips and walked out with the girls.

Lizz was the last one In the cab as it drove her home. As it pulled up to her small house she paid, smiled and got out. unlocking her door she stepped into her living room, letting out a breath she flopped on her couch. "That was fun." She thought. "That man though.. I wonder who he was." she sighed and closed her eyes. She imagined what it would have been like to walk up those stairs and stand next to him, overlooking the crowd. While his lips whispered things in her ears.

As she continued to think of the white haired boy she drifted off to sleep on the couch, still wearing her clothes.

....

"Elizabeth.... Elizabeth! You need to leave now!"

the voice was far, far away. Lizz, who was sitting on the floor as small child, cried. Flames engulfing the home she was in. She couldn't move. She was frozen.

"Elizabeth! Please!" The voice begged. She wanted to listen.. but she still couldn't move..

Soon darkness circled around her, until there was nothing.
