After hugging her, his attention shifted towards lux.
He had a frown look seeing the unfamiliar guy next to her side.
"Honey, who is this guy?" Said the man in a suit.
Aria immediately responded and explains his purpose for coming, except for his real name and his friend.
The man pondered after hearing her explanation and asked. "What rank are you?"
Aria had a thoughtful look upon hearing his husband's question. 'Now that I think about it, I don't know what his rank is. Mei only told me that he defeated A rank monsters at the age of 8 which makes him an S-rank hunter, but what is his current rank now?"
Lux hesitated for a bit before answering. "First let me introduce myself. My name is light, I'm a magic swordsman, and I can't tell you my rank."
The man had a serious look and questioned him further. "Why won't you tell us your rank?"
Lux immediately answers his questions. "As you can see, my purpose here is to aid as per my client's request, and thus I have no intentions of telling my personal experience nor anything that includes my personal life.
Also, if my contribution here is not that much or if you think that I'm just an obstacle here, you have the right to decline my help."
The man had a serious look on lux before speaking with a cheerful mood as if they were buddies: "hahaha, is that so, then thank you for helping us"
The man chuckled while patting his hand to Lux shoulder before he introduces himself then offered a handshake. "I'm steven alkarde an Ss-rank hunter. Pretty sure you know me too since I'm quite famous in this city."
Lux had a look of hesitation seeing his hand. 'I guess there's no problem with a handshake, and this might be the best way to show him my strength.' Thought lux with a cold smirk.
Lux gently pulled his hand from his pocket before shaking hands with him.
'This guy is stupid for accepting it. Now, let me see his strength.' he thought with a grin.
The man secretly scanned his entire body using his mana.
After scanning his mana, steven took a few steps away from him as cold sweats runs through his back.
'This person, what is he? I felt nothing, it's as if he is not a human' Steven thought in fear.
Normally, every person has mana and life energy, but after scanning his body, Steven felt nothing which is something every human must have even if they tried to hide it, and that makes Steven shiver in fear. There's no human without mana or life energy.
"Boss are you okay?" The guard next to him wondered why he suddenly acted like this.
Hearing that, Steven came back to his sense and acts as if nothing happened. "Ah, hahaha, my shoes are just slippy. Can you take another shoe for me?" He immediately ordered his servant as an excuse.
Lacner made a bitter smile after noticing something based on their interactions and reactions made by steven just now.
Aria had a worried look while seeing their conversation. Sighed... ' thankfully nothing bad happened.'
Then, she noticed a group and a boy with the same color of hair as lux although kinda not the same hair. Out of curiosity, she asked for his name. "Honey, who is this young person here?"
"This must be your first time seeing him, this person here is my nephew, his name is lacner alkarde and these people next to him are his friends who came to help us." Steven introduced him.
"Hello, nice to meet you aunt I'm lacner alkarde."
"My name is Hein Abalone." The red hair woman introduced herself indifferently.
"My name is Canor Stanya" the big guy introduced himself with a cheerful smile.
"Hello, my name is Anya Auror" the white-haired girl introduced herself cheerfully.
"Hello, my name is Coon Artill" the black-haired boy introduced himself indifferently.
Aria was stunned upon hearing their names as she recognized them. "You guys are from royal and noble families, why did you come here?"
Lacner immediately replied: "we came here to protect you as per my uncle's request. Don't worry I'm also an Ss-rank hunter just like my uncle although I'm younger"
"Hey kid, you sure have a lot of guts to say this now that you have the same rank as me huh!" Steven had an angry look upon hearing this as a sound of bones cracking from his hands while warming up.
"Haha, I'm just kidding," he said.
Lux pondered seeing the group in front of him with an annoyed expression. 'As far as I know, these people here are from a royal and noble family. They are a group of elites who was elected as the next heir of their family. Other than that, I know nothing about them since the only reason why I know these people are from watching tv. I often see these people on ads whom I swear to kill before while watching cartoons, cause why not? These bitches are so annoying and interrupting my free time. They're fucking introducing him to the world saying this is the youngest S-rank in their generation and announcing he is the next leader of the alkarde family, like who tf cares? His record was defeated by a student anyway who became an SsS-rank hunter at the age of 14 and more people from my generation that are more powerful than him now, but who would have thought we would meet someday like this'
"By the way aunt, you don't have to worry about my comrades being an obstacle as these people here are S-rank hunters, and there's still more coming here and all of them are S-rank," he said confidently.
Aria was surprised about this and gratefully thank him for helping her.
"Thank you so much!" She thanks him with a bow at the end.
Seeing her happy at times like this made them smile. "Don't worry aunt we will protect you like our life is depending on it"
Hearing that made Aria emotional as tears can be seen flowing from her eyes.
While everyone is having a dramatic scene, Lux noticed something about 20 kilometers away from them, although it was just for a moment, Lux still knew the danger behind that mana he felt.
"Madam, can I go out for a bit?" Lux asked for permission to come out first before going outside.
Aria had a confused look before permitting him. "Sure, why not"
"Now then, please pardon me," Lux said goodbye and bowed before leaving the room.
Steven had a serious look seeing him leaving suddenly and asked Lacner to follow him.
Lacner followed his uncle's order as he immediately left the room to follow Lux.
Aria had a confused look, wondering why those two suddenly came out, but she was interrupted by lacner friends as they asked for an autograph.
While walking in the hallway, Lux noticed Lacner following behind him. 'It seems that they are worried about my presence. Well, let's ignore him for now.'
The house is so big since the entire area is about 2 kilometers wide, and because of that lux took 10 minutes to get out by walking.
"This house is so big, I wonder how much money they used to build this." lux wondered as he came out of the house gate.
'Now that I'm out here, what to do? I forgot shit. Oh yeah that's right I came here to observe'
I sat in a long chair and front of it is a road where vehicles pass through to their destinations to observe and wait for those guys.
While observing the area, I noticed that there are more than 50 B-rank to S-rank hunters nearby secretly observing the area, and after a few seconds, Lacner came next to me and said.
"Hello, can I sit beside you?" He asked with a cheerful smile.
Of course, I can't decline his request even though I know what he came for.
"Yeah sure," I said indifferently.
"Thanks"
With that said, he sat next to me a few inches away.

Silence was bestowed upon them while surveying the area as the gust of wind blew beside them.
Lacner had an awkward look, and to lighten up the mood, he tried to ask some trivial questions.
"Umm, can you tell me your favorite food?"

Seeing him in silence made Lacner think again about his questions.
"I think that question was kind of a bit personal, then what about your favorite color?"
"...."
"Your favorite books?"
"...."
"Do you like painting?"
"...."
"Do you like flying?"
"...."

He might have a mask covering his face, but those eyes are just so bright for me to notice them. Even with that mask, I can imagine an image of him with a handsome face. Now that I think about it, white hair is rare even for nobles, that's why most of them can only be found from royals, then is he a member of some royal families? If so, then this guy's physical appearance is the perfect model for being royalty. Damn, this is the first time I feel envy for someone's physical appearance.
Unlike lux white hair and eyes, Lacner hair is more like gray with his deep green eyes, making him look like a unique depressed tree in the forest.
