The continent most far away, isolated and covered by the vegetation so dense none could enter. Though inside of which lied a whole new story, covered up by all sides a giant continent in middle of nowhere though sounded odd or some but was a goal for many.
In past decades the people from all around were well connected, so well in fact that most knew about most, some of which wanted more which lead to a curiosity which further lead a few to these continent. Rhe dense vegetation prevented from thorough exploration of the place and a few of the few
found about the insides, and those who found were not sure to let the world know.
The insides were different, it was living, a community full of esoteric beings, the researchers lead to a theory adaptive radiation and developmental limit to be factors of the cause. The outer place composed of mosses and mana ferns covered with outlets through which when travelled lead to the insides which had motile living heterogenetians which were evolved for the place. The researchers named them " Phycomorphs" as there were green mildly humanoid relatively peaceful creature who depended on the veins for nutrition and took care. Intelligent species were also found these formed a village less joint community to survive and were capable of using magic.
The first group of researchers which contacted them recorded that, they were violent at the start and were very capable casters which led to the death of 2 researchers, but by the end turned friendly using translation magic, These intelligent species were not at all humanoid and were archneological in nature as majority of living diversity consisted on the continent were of plants, plants-like or insecteiods.
They were giant arcanic spider-like creatures which possessed higher cranial capacity and were morphed and developed to look a little human like in respective to their bipedal standing posture as of humans.
they had hard exoskeleton on most of the parts but belly, scapular and next regions were soft composed of soft exoskeleton.
They were when talked to were humble and apological about their violent behaviour and
treated the non human wounded, as more talking lead the researchers know that they were not the first ones to contact them and other from non humans had tried before but turned violent.
Sooner the researchers knew that the colony of insecteoids they were in was comparatively a smaller community as they knew there were more of them which were larger more developed and even had formed an heirarchy system among them.
The further deep someone went the more they knew and found but more their chances of return turned nill. Soon people stopped entering The Deep and stayed to the outside.
Dragons were found on the mountains but never seen venturing The Deep.
Once a dozen went and 3 came back,
they were never the same and didn't talked much about it. As the studies told the mana fields turned stronger and stronger as someone went the more inside there was a unique geographical advantage to the area the creatures were stronger where as the people who are not originally from the area if entered were blasted with non co extensive rays of mana which turned people sick as more they entered within. The locals called this " Aracnoil curse" which prevented from multiple invasions on their land or helped them fight through.
After years a coast city was formed due to high trade and research inflow and outflow.
The flow of curse subtle on the coast which gave the place an advantage but after the build disasters arose the dragons were not happy and attacked the place many times,
earthquakes arose and destroyed half of the city. The population reduced as well, but people lived non humans were the most in number then came insecteoids and humans.
The quakes opened up the soil and a path to The Deep was discovered. It was long harsh humid and dark which was more feasible for the insecteoids to travel very many things were discovered and many were lost the find lasted for a decade and the source was discovered which was a humongous plant based mana crystal which could be harvested for mana and nutritionnal water the place was huge and cave systems were intrinsic and long with large spaces and natural light and water supply at many places, the place was well utilised by the many and through the course of years the place futher led to the foundation of the present day Arcana,
