Jane entered Mia's room carrying a plate of fruit. The middle-aged woman wearing a maroon casual suit saw her daughter lying on her side and back to her while playing with her cellphone, but from her behavior, she realized that her daughter was crying.
"Mia..."
Jane put a plate of fruit on the table near the bed, then sat on the edge of the bed and stroked Mia's hair gently.
"I miss Michael, Ma. I don't want him to marry another girl," Mia said sadly.
