"So, you asked me to come to the office immediately because you want to resign?" Casey asked, looking at Austin who had compromised with her to pretend to resign, so Nathan wouldn't suspect her of lying to him.
"Yes, mom...I want to resign because I am not satisfied with the salary I get for the hard work I do here," Austin replied with a flat look. He sat in a chair opposite Casey who sat in his oversized chair.
Casey rolled her eyes, feeling real emotion that Austin had made a lie she didn't expect. She became embarrassed at Nathan who was sitting on the couch, watching the interaction between her and her confidant.
"The salary I gave was following the rules and our agreement when you just entered this company, you should understand that. You shouldn't have violated the agreement and wanted to just resign!" She said in annoyance.
