Surprise from Nathan

Casey followed the security guard down the corridor on the top floor. The girl walked in filled with passionate curiosity, imagining what the face of the mysterious man who claimed to be Edward Cullen would look like.

'Is he a new guy I've never met, or a guy I've known? And is he so attractive that I should want to be Isabella Swan for him? But somehow I felt that his voice just now was very similar to the voice of ....' Casey wondered in her heart as she continued walking until the security guard stopped in front of a room which was quite far from the available rooms in the hotel.

The security guard looked at Casey who looked confused. "Someone's waiting for you in here."

"Are you sure if I go in I'll be safe? I have my doubts because this is the first time I've met him."

"You don't have to worry because I'm waiting for you here," said the security guard who looked about 30 years old and looked handsome with a thin beard and neatly combed hair.

Casey nodded her head and then looked at the door still doubtful, but also curious.

"You don't have to worry because he is a good person," said the security guard.

"Okay, I'll come in," Casey said then immediately pushed the door open.

Casey walked slowly, entering the room in the form of a large hall with dim lighting. she looked back, saw the closed door then again glanced around which was very quiet but slowly she saw decorative lights shining on the walls forming the words "welcome Isabella Swan".

"I'm not even Isabella Swan," Casey whispered as she continued walking towards the lamp because she didn't know where she was going. After all, there was no table or chair to be seen.

"I'm here," said someone behind him.

Casey looked back and saw a man so positioned herself facing the man. She paused curiously because the man had a mask over his eyes, making her feel giddy and impatient to see who was behind the mask.

"Who are you?" She asked quietly.

"I'm your future," the man replied in his baritone voice.

Casey frowned, remembering the voice and from the posture of the man wearing a white shirt combined with beige jeans, it was Nathan's posture.

'But he's not Nathan because Nathan has a thick beard,' she thought.

"Did you forget how we were together for over a month? You care about me so much even though I'm nothing to you? and now I realize that maybe what happened between us meant that we were meant to be together." The man said as he walked around Casey.

Casey was silent with her heart beating fast, trying to understand what he meant.

"One more month with you? What do you mean?"

"You don't have to ask or pretend to forget because I know you still remember what happened to you when your body was in a coma," said the man.

Instantly Casey rolled her eyes, looked at the man, then removed the mask that covered his eyes. the girl was getting nervous, trembling, as if unable to breathe when she found out who the man in front of her was.

"Na... Nathan...."

Nathan smiled crookedly, then cupped Casey's cheeks with both hands. "Yeah, it's me... Clara's husband..I've read your letter, I already know everything ... Know about your soul trapped there, know about how you pretend to be my wife ... And I know ... You are my destiny," he said with a warm look.

Casey froze, her eyes continued to stare at Nathan's eyes which were not visible because the room was not well lit. she didn't think that Edward Cullen was Nathan, so she didn't know what to say, there was only awkward shame and reluctance because it turned out that the man already knew about her soul being trapped in his wife's body.

"After I completely accepted Clara's departure, then I heard the news that you had woken up from a coma, I couldn't stop thinking about you," Nathan said with a meaningful look.

Casey swallowed, then brushed Nathan's hand away from her cheek. she turned around, unable to look at his handsome face that always stole her attention.

"Sorry ... I was presumptuous as Clara back then," she said sadly remembering the first moments her soul was trapped. "Back then I had tried to say that I wasn't because but you didn't believe me. I chose to remain silent and accept that fact until suddenly I got an explanation from someone who said that I must remain, Clara until I can solve my problems until I can find out who has been mean to me all this time. .and I continued the play too. Because I knew that Clara was gone. I can't imagine how you would be so sad to lose her when you two just got married."

"You don't have to apologize because what you did was the right thing," Nathan shouted then pulled Casey up to face him. "Because of you, I can finally postpone my grief, I can finally feel what it's like to be Clara's husband even though at that time her soul is gone. And finally, I can know who is mean to me and her ... you are good at managing everything so that I am free from my problems and you also know who has been mean to you all this time."

"Because that's what I have to do," Casey said, bending her face.

"I already knew you must have done it with such good intentions with a sincere heart because you don't know what your future will be after your soul leaves Clara's body, and that's also because of your kind personality. You've been kind to me and Clara's family too. ..You left such a sweet impression on us as Clara that they didn't know that she died because of Aunt Liora...if her family finds out that she died because of being poisoned, it will make her family very hurt, and maybe until then the wound will not heal, causing resentment and hatred towards me or Aunt Liora.". Nathan said very casually, then took Casey's hand. "You are the best for me after Clara. I feel that Clara also always appears in my dreams just to remind me that I have to choose you as her successor. She'll keep crying if I can't be with you, and maybe I won't be able to think of any other woman besides you and her either."

Casey fell silent with a feeling that was hard to describe again.

"Casey," Nathan called.

"Yeah," Casey whispered, her voice hoarse from the dryness of her throat.

"Do you want to be my wife?" asked Nathan.

Instantly Casey rolled her eyes, then removed Nathan's hand from hers, then turned away from him. she was silent, unsure, and distrustful of this situation as if she felt that he would propose to her not because he loved her but because he wanted to make her a substitute for Clara. for some reason the girl hesitated to accept, afraid that if the man didn't love her then their relationship would not last long.

'Oh my God, this is what I wanted all along but why am I hesitating now? being hurt by Michael makes me feel scared if he comes to hurt me because he didn't love me before? Then how can he ask me to marry so soon?' Casey wondered.Â
