Chapter 65 - Chapter 66: Down4Up

Under the night sky, a sharp shadow jumping from roof to roof of the Acadasia city. Thousand people—humans (some)—are still walking around on the street, unaware of the werewolf above them. One happy werewolf.

He did it. He finally found the Blue blood! His arms couldn't help but to squeeze the body tighter. Haha, even his mouth couldn't stop drooling. Just the thought of having the legendary blood to himself!

And all he had to do to call her out from the hiding is just give a couple photos of her tortured old woman and it worked. Sure, there was a bit problem with those two weirdo trying to kill him, but they show no sign of chasing him now.

Good. Whatever the reason is, he doesn't want to do anything with them anymore. A succubus maid who has a Shadrown under her command was never under any of his expectation when he approaches the human. Who's he anyway? He kinda reminds him of someone. Ah, whoever he is must have been long out of the picture—useless. And also the maid mentioned her queen. That means there'd be a new power around here.

Under normal circumstance, he'd go tell Roger—the Alpha. But there's no need to heed to him anymore. Not even he knows about the Blue Blood.

The werewolf chuckles. Soon, he'd be one or more of the Lords. How's Hado The Alpha sounds like?

Thud—

He's not imagining it.

Someone is behind him. Following him, building to building.

The steps were gentle. He'd never realize it, as his senses detected no presence. Only his instinct was alerted of the hostile gaze.

Hado grunts.

Another annoyance?

He couldn't be bothered.

Whatever, he will outrun it anyway. He speeds up. No one can keep up with a full-formed werewolf under the moon's blessings.

No one.

Swoosh!

Hado jumps off from the platform he was on, barely escaping his death from—a wooden sword? But don't look down on it. One swing is enough to open up a crack on the flat roof.

"What the!"

The werewolf turns around to meet his additional problem. A female human in a gray cloak. The icy winds help to reveal her waist tied with all of her equipments—talisman, spike woods, tiny falcons bottle with glowing blue water and a small sword-shaped case. Her gray gloved hand holds the smoking wooden sword. They were sharper, her yellowish eyes.

Hado knows, "Tch," he drops the Blue Blood on the floor. "Exorcist." And it seems this one can keep up with him.

Hold up. He knows this smell. They've met before. This person is the same girl who had slain two of his underlings in the alleyway weeks ago. A high skilled exorcist.

Both of them are staring at each other on the same rooftop—threatening each other with a fight to the death.

The exorcist raises her sword up, "Surrender yourself to the Divine One, werewolf, or fight me to the death."

A human being that actually can keep up with his speed This exorcist is not something to be trifle with. Hado has no option but to fight, it seems.

But he can't fight her with his injury from the last struggle. It's a lost cause. So he steps back.

The exorcist steps forward. "You can't outrun me."

Hado smiles, "Oh, I know." Quickly, the werewolf grabs the unconscious girl from the floor. "I don't need to now."

Why would he run when he can just use the Blue Blood to enhance his strength by tenfold? Now, the dark mages warn him not to be hasty. He knows it has to be eaten properly—through a ritual to get her entire power. But it's okay for now.

The exorcist steps closer, "P—Put down the Ramen girl. What are you trying to do with her!?"

"I'm glad you ask," Hado chuckles. "Look closely, you're the first one to behold the rise of a new Lord."

Then he opens up his mouth.

And takes one big bite on the thin, white limb.

His throat jumps, the flesh and blood fall in. But then everything stops.

Pains invade his whole body.

The werewolf is trembling and choking. Parts of the limb explode out. The coughs are worsened by time.

Hado throws away the blue blood as if it's a used toothpick.

His vision is blurry. But he can see the exorcist dashes to catch the little girl fall.

He expected his body to be stronger.

Not loose.

It feels like he can't even control it himself.

The blood is killing something inside of him.

I—Is he dying?

Is eating the Blue Blood without the ritual actually kill you?

His body temperature boils up.

The werewolf is changing.
