It's that moment when everyone bids farewell to each other before meeting again tomorrow. There was always a dramatic ending in this clubroom, though. Well, mostly it comes from Nelia.
"F--Fine, if that's what you all think of me," Nelia springs up from the couch, huffing "You will regret having the wrong impression now when you see how much they like me. You'd all be, dang, guesses I should have believed her yesterday. And I'll be like, haha, don't sweat about it. Next time, have faith in your co-president. And you'd be like, okay. And I'd be like--"
She continues even when no one is listening.
Ayane follows her up, hanging her bag and guitar case around her shoulder. Nelia is still staring at her. Annoyed, Ayane gives her a respond, "Are you sulking? I'm not sorry."
"No…? Am I?" She breaks her doubt with a shake of her head, "Hold up, of course, not. Though sulking makes me helplessly cute in front of Sensei--"
No.
"--I have to show you guys, the co-president of this club is not to be crossed with. Hah, I accept the challenge. I will prove to everyone why I'm the best waifu here. Er, second to my Queen of course. After all, the best waifu loves animal--vice versa."
Ayane is ignoring her as she drags all of her stuff toward me. Her animal book is still in hand. "Sensei, I--"
"Tomorrow, you will know what I mean," Nelia shouts as she raises her finger at Ayane.
"I don't care."
"You will. This one you can't deny to care about it."
"..."
"You will, this one you can't deny to care about it!"
"I heard you the first time. Is this the part where I say, we'll see about that, in a full of doubt tone?"
"Yes. And I'll go like, we will hmph, in a super heroine way as possible."
What the hell is even this conversation?
For the first time in my life, Nelia runs toward the exit instead of sticking in the room as long as she can with me. She didn't even say bye. Wow, whatever she's trying to do here, she looks (I can't believe I'm saying this:) busy.
Thud. Nelia left.
"Sensei. We have a problem and I can't do it alone." The sharp eyes flap her long spiky eyelashes. Ayane is about to say something serious as if to break the silliness Nelia left for the room. Her toes pushes herself up to place her lips beside my ear. She doesn't even have to say anything, the whisper already is too cold for other thoughts to get close.
"I can handle the exorcism, don't worry."
When she put herself down, Ayane's bright eyes grab me in thought of wonder. After a few seconds, she continues: "I'm not reading this out of curiosity, Sensei." She swings the book around her wrist, "have you seen what happened to the ramen place you brought me?"
The Oba Ramen?
"Judging by your look, it seems you haven't heard the news yet."
She pulls the guitar case tight on her shirt, "But now you know, we have to stop whatever it is from doing it again. The book didn't tell me much, so I was hoping you could help me. I know, I know, I'm not hopeful for it, but a little opinion from yours is fine already. We can talk after--, "a look back at Remelia and Bobo, "After you've finished your job here."
I give her a nod, "I will send you a message if I find something."
"Thank you," Ayane bows and walks past me.
Thud.
Ayane closes the door and leaves only one human in the room together with two dangerous creatures.
Even though they don't appear so.
Remelia is woken up by the ring for a while and then decides to throw her cheek back on the couch. "Mnn~"
"Remelia," I call her out, "We have something to discuss."
When I take a step forward, the room turns darker. Darker. And the two bright gold lights are brighter. Brighter. "You don't have any right to step closer to my Queen," The maid says.
I sigh, "Look this is important, I--"
"Don't you see my Queen is currently busy?"
She's just sleeping though. "You don't seriously believe she's storing her power, don't you?"
Her glare intensifies behind her glasses. God, she really believed that?
"My queen, may I speak of my mind for a minute?" Bobo gently asks Remelia.
And Remelia twitches in her half-asleep state, "Hm? Hm… Five more minutes."
In my head, she's asking for five minutes more to sleep but I think, by the look of her face, Bobo misunderstood it.
"Thank you," The maid disattached herself from Remelia's side and stepped forward to me, blocking Remelia from my view.
The cherry lips under her sharp nose moves, "I don't know how you know My queen or why everyone else refers to her as Remelia, but whatever it is, I'm here. I don't think my Queen would need your assistance any more longer."
I scratch my hand, "I don't think you know what's the situation right now."
I can hear she's gritting, "My eyes may have lost my queen for years but no one," she slides her hand behind her and comes back with a dark red umbrella (some magic, not a trick I guess) "No one knows better of her than me.
"You're too dangerous for her. Now come."
…
Come?
