"AH!"
Nelia wakes up with a yelp. Her eyes widen, confused, trying to figure out why she is lying on a couch. "Where am I?" she says. Her glance meets me sitting on the other couch. "Sensei?"
I nod.
She sighs a relief. "Oh thanks god, I thought I slept on a stranger's couch again…"
… What? So she has slept on someone she doesn't know's couch many times? What is that even supposed to mean?
Nelia pats her (my jacket) and flare dress. "Still fine. The date is not over yet."
"Hurm…" That loud 'Hurm' is coming from the vampire princess. The white haired, gothic dressed loli who I almost killed half an hour minutes ago. Remelia.
Yes, Nelia has been out that long.
Within those awkward thirty minutes, we just sat down not saying anything. We can't really continue our 'business' with Nelia sleeping on the couch really.
So in the end, here we are.
The vampire princess leans toward Nelia with her hands cupped to her chin. "Say, do you know me?"
Nelia raises her eyebrow and tilts her head, "No, I don't believe so. Who are you? And why are you sitting beside Sensei?"
She sounds hostile all of the sudden.
Remelia and I exchange looks for a second.
Remelia coughs, "You ask who am I so I'm going to give you an answer for that. I am--"
"Pause!" Nelia pushes her hand toward her. Remelia raises her chin up. Nelia continues, "On second thought, I really don't care who you are. It's obvious who's the winner already."
Remelia crosses her arms, "I don't like your tone. And also don't understand what is to be won here."
Nelia ignores the comment and sits up. She looks around, "If you really want to be helpful somehow in this romance comedy story between him and me, do tell me where am I now?"
"No thank you." That's Remelia showing she's not the kind of person willing to play someone's game.
I sigh and decide to be the one who gives her the answer. If not these two are going to have a staring contest for enternity. "Nelia, you're currently in the Occult Clubroom."
Nelia gasps, "Weirdd…. I don't remember anything about coming here…" Her hand moves to her dark head and she winces. "The only thing I can recall is the big sharp pain that hit my head."
Once again, Remelia and I exchange a look. Remelia doesn't show a sign of resentment. Rather, she's giving me a proud look as if to say she's super awesome to not accidentally kill someone who super deserves it.
Nelia bits her lip, "Hum… Sensei's clubroom. I see... Now I know why I came here. I just can't remember how I ended up sleeping."
Her head took a lot.
I begin to feel concern.
It should be the first thing I say to her but better than never, "Nelia, are you all right?"
"Hm? What do you mean?"
"Your head. Is it okay? Do you know what day it is today?"
Remelia is offended by my questions. "Oh come on, Human. She's obviously fine. If she can't answer your question, she's just born stupid. I don't think she hit her head that bad."
What do you mean by she hit her head? Your fricking shadow ball was the one who knocked her out.
"We have a bigger problem here don't you think?"
Remelia is right. We do have a bigger problem here. Our heads turn to the innocently smiling Nelia. She looks back and forth between me and Remelia, confused what's going on.
"Bigger problem?" Nelia asks. "I don't know what that is, but my head is fine. I somehow may have tripped on something again and hit my head on the floor. The thing is my head is super strong." She puts her knuckle on her head. "As you might know, that means I'm a super persistent person. As the magazine says."
In the mean time Nelia is taking to herself, Remelia's voice goes into my head.
'She's a problem. I suggest we kill her.' Remelia sent me.
And of course I shake my head.
Remelia groans.
'All right, I'm just going to leave her in your hands but make it faster. The faster you get rid of her, the faster you will believe that submitting to me is great."
The only person I will submit myself to is my little sister.
Pause.
I meant it innocently. I'd give everything for her. In the most brotherly way possible.
Anyway.
"All right, let me handle this my way," I say.
Nelia blinks loudly."Bup, bup. Sensei? You've been murmuring to yourself over there. Did you also hit your head? Maybe I can give you a little peck on your cheek to heal you up. Ah, and you also should do that to me too. Just suggesting."
"Suggestion denied," I say.
Nelia whimper. "Aw, next time?"
"No." I sigh, both in relief and tired. "You have seemed back to normal."
By normal, I meant, not normal. The usual Nelia-normal.
She grins and holds her hands together, letting out a hissing chuckle. "Maybe it was because of you."
This time, I realized Remelia has been giving me a disgust look.
"What?"
"I may have missed thousands of years by being asleep but we still had the term grooming back then."
I am not bothering myself to try to explain to her because, in fact, I'm not grooming anybody.
What is going on here? I was about to save the world from troubles and got stopped by one naive girl. It is fortunate enough that she's not injured by that shadow ball.
"Hehehe, Sensei. Sensei."
How do I deal with this situation? And I think it's going to be a lot more worse from here.
