Chapter 7 - Two souls, one body

RECAP

"Frozen queen, Elsa ? Who's that?" The bucket man was now seriously confused. "What made Queen Elsa, freeze?"

"Is she a powerful queen?" The lady enquired

"Does she poses any threat for our nation?" Bucket man added "How come I've never heard of her….Elsa?"

"WILL YOU STOP BOTHERING ME!!!" I yelled at both of them for which they both flinched

"what did I even do to deserve this?!"

CH 07- Two souls, one body

Author's POV

Vivienne. The name itself defines a legacy. A true warrior. A woman in the battlefield was something not everyone accepted, but she proved them all wrong.

A General's daughter and the nation's leader. The soldiers bowed to her. She fought the most bloody wars and remained undefeated. She proved her gender identity was never a burden, in fact, a gift.

Her commanding voice could bring the devils to bow, her glares could get the strongest of the men on his knees. A born fighter, she is.

While all the women wore beautiful corsets she wore a shining armour. While they decorated their hands with rich jewels, her hands firmly gripped a sword and sliced the enemies with skilful movements. While they protected their delicate skin from sun rays, she didn't mind the sun dancing mercilessly on her tanned skin and practiced all day long.

She's different and she made sure this difference earned her enough respect to set a milestone for none to reach. Now the question is simple- can Lily do it?

Lily's POV

Both the irritating idiots ran at my outburst. I now had some time to think. I mentally rummaged through all the books I've read in the past, all the genres and there! 'Time travel'

Yes! I time traveled. But wait! I'm called Vivienne over here. Why? What about my identity? Did my soul just make this Vivienne woman's body its own ? That quite won't justify. Next genre - alternative universe.

Hmm…. Let's think. From what I've read, Alternative universe and our universe time line remains same. Entering it won't reverse the time. So…. Not justified!

I again started rethinking stories I've read and some déjà vu hit me. 'Vivienne' yes! I've read it! Where?

Think Lily,

please bestie,

think!

'The Arya'

'Warrior'

'A kingdom of the gods'

'Swordasteria'

"THE BOOK!" I yelled in excitement. I clearly read about this character in that book I always forget! I know I only remember the character and some terms but still!

'Oh god! I, for the first time ever, remember something related to that book! I'm not suffering amnesia!!!'

'So I'm inside the book ? Well…. That's also a genre. I know I'm a book addict but I'm not some maniac who'd just expect those things in reality. This isn't real. This COULDN'T be real !'

I jumped out of the bed, so did my senses jump out of my head. I ran out of the tent and all heads turned towards me. It made me nervous. I'm not used to such a huge crowd, like c'mon ! I've spent my life in a damn hospital ward. Above a 'huge crowd' they were all heavily built soldiers gossiping and eating around. Men do gossip, I guess. I'm not stereotypical by the way.

They all froze up on my arrival. I thought 'am I naked?' Shivers ran down my spine in an instant. Until then I didn't check on my attire. Thank god. Not naked. But in fact, I've never dressed with so much cloth even though I'm a rich man's daughter. I'm in a freaking robe. A royal red rob with layers layers of some rich material draped all over me. I relaxed and looked up again.

One of the men, raised his hand high and made some gestures, which I guess was command. So? What am I supposed to do? What does this gesture want me to do? I was so deep in thoughts I didn't notice the whole freaking crowd of about a thousand men gathered right in front of me and at once bowed. Yes. They all bowed to ME. Or should I say, Vivienne?

I couldn't even breathe, let alone move. 'Oh Mother Earth! Please swallow me this instant' I thought to myself. My heart raced so fast that it could crack ribs any time soon.

I looked at them and they're not rising their heads at all. They stood so still that they could actually make the mannequins unemployed. I shifted my eyes to the one that initiated the bow in hopes for him to

command again, but he too is staring at the ground as if it's some sexy Hollywood heroine! Isn't he supposed to dismiss them?

'Or is it ME who's supposed to do it?' Perhaps

I somehow found it's a solid solution but how? Let's give it a try. I corrected my dry throat. Made sure do drop it a couple of octaves lower and tried to imitate Dr. Grey…my 'father'

"All rise" I commanded. Damn! I did a good job, actually! They all rose up instantly. I feel so powerful. Gimme more.

"You! 3rd row, 7th one. You're hunched. Correct your posture!" I barked. He did it right away.

"And you, 10th row, 2nd one. Where's your sword? You're a soldier, remember?" Oh I love this!

He immediately bowed "My apologies, I -"

"I don't entertain this" I cut him short. But I didn't do this. I mean, I just did it without me doing it. Will that justify anything? I enjoyed it anyway

"You all can now get dispersed" I barked an order again and they all went on with what they were doing, again .

I don't even understand why it feels I'm used to such statements. I'm not even thinking it through before opening my mouth.

'Does that mean there are two souls in one body?' My breath hitched at this point. Well, it really did make sense. A part of me couldn't even decipher my whole existence and another part of me is controlling a thousand men in the tip of her fingers.

What could possibly justify this?
