Crossing the East borderlines made Luka's heart jump in excitement. It was his first time doing so, the forest was dark and filled of trees he had never seen before.
"This is exciting," he mumbled to himself. "This is the first time I'm actually defying the rules."
He could even imagine himself getting scolded by his mother, the queen, but he didn't care at all.
Luka didn't know the reason why but it must have been his puberty acting up on him.
How strange.
He thought humans only experienced those things.
'Crown Prince Luka! You must be out of your mind!'
Luka could imagine his mother, the queen's scream, outside of the castle. Even so, he still decided to do it.
He was still a young vampire, not yet activated to choose a human mate and actively become a vampire that would succeed and be the one. He was still considered weak with no strength and power. And yet, the desire to explore the world beyond what he knew was stronger than that.
