"Come out and play," a child-like plead echoed in the hallway right outside where Zera and her friends were hiding. It actually sounded dangerously close that she was afraid even to breathe.
A giggle followed the taunt.
Zera felt her skin crawl with goosebumps. But no one dared to make a sound.
The room they had stumbled into was dimly lit. It had no windows and no furniture. One could assume it was intended to be something but was abandoned after the owners decided to sell the property.
Mentally shaking her head, Zera had to remind herself that she wasn't in the real world. They were inside a game where anything was possible according to the imagination of the Priestess.
After a few minutes of being huddled together, holding their breaths, the five players finally heard silence. They no longer sensed anyone present outside the walls of the room.
