Fighting off monsters, ridiculous, small, and vicious, ranging from the wildest to the most unimagined ones, Zera was about ready to give up.
Her limbs and her arms were all sore. Her entire body was begging for rest. But she knew it would do her no good. They needed to fight until they reached the top.
If there was another way out, Zera would gladly appreciate it. But Zera was aware that the other option would require them to cheat. It was out of the question.
"Can we skip to the part where we win?" Beatrix said roughly beside her. They were in the middle of fighting with a giant.
It resembled an ogre with one eye.
It swung its heavy bat and hit the wall beside where Zera and Beatrix were hiding. Small pieces of the brick wall dropped on their heads, almost covering them in the dust it came with.
Beatrix coughed but pilled her friend by the hand. Together, they ran in the opposite direction, joining their friends.
