With Mysie Xavier still unconscious, they only made it to the second floor before they heard the loud footsteps and knew that their pursuers saw the lights coming to life from the building.
It may have been a faint one because of the blinds, but it was enough to alert the other team of their whereabouts.
"Idiot," Zera muttered.
"Hey now," Nayowmi whispered. They were hiding in the conference room behind the table. It was the easiest hiding place and most convenient. They could peer from time to time and check if they would need to run towards the emergency exit that it promised.
