Bang!
Beatrix listened to the gun going off, her heart racing. In a minute, she sprang to her feet, running towards the building where she knew Zera had scouted.
"Map," the translucent screen immediately showed her where her friend was. But she couldn't see what was happening.
The building didn't look promising, but she was worried about her friend. Nothing else mattered beyond that.
Doubling her efforts, Beatrix was almost out of breath when she caught up with Zera. She was standing by the door of the room, looking a little daze.
Beatrix pulled her in a hug almost immediately, catching sight of the body close to the bed.
She then pulled away, checking if her friend had gained any wound. When Beatrix was sure that Zera was fine, she breathed a sigh of relief.
"You scared me, Z."
Zera managed to pull her lips into a thin smile. She gently dragged her friend towards another room, closing the door behind them.
