Zera only had time to cover the gasp in her mouth as she watched the soldier who almost got her fall to the ground, a gunshot wound on the head catching him by surprise.
Beatrix's angry face replaced that of the man. Zera immediately pulled her friend as they raced inside the tent, wary of their surroundings.
Once inside the safety of the tent, Zera gave Beatrix a long look.
"What happened to you? Why are you mad?"
Beatrix closed her eyes. She looked at her friend and shrugged.
"I'm just letting out some steam. Nothing grand."
"Oof," Zera replied, patting her on the shoulders. "Were you following that soldier keenly?"
Beatrix shrugged.
"Maybe. I was somewhat bored. Are we supposed to just take them out silently without even knowing how many there are?"
"Uh, maybe?"
"Z!" Beatrix expressed; she rolled her eyes at her friend.
