Xavier looked at Trink. The two of them didn't say anything to each other, afraid that it might trigger the Draco to attack.
"Do you think they'd succeed?" Trink finally broke the silence.
Xavier gave her a sideways glance and snorted.
"Stick around longer. I'm sure you wouldn't ask the same question next time."
Keeping an eye on the Draco creature while waiting for Zera to come back allowed Xavier some time to think.
There must be something they could do aside from blindly circling the outskirts looking for the kidnapped mayors and governor.
It was his suggestion. Hence, Xavier felt partly responsible.
"Have you been with them long?" Trink tried for conversation again.
Xavier chuckled. But he tried his best not to draw too much attention. He wasn't sure the creature would want him and Trink to have a good time while waiting.
"Does it seem like I've been with them for a while?"
