Zera had to admit that she partly regretted making a choice to be on the outskirts when she had less preparation time and didn't even scout for landmarks.
But it was too late to go back and try mapping out anything. Although, she could sit and do that with the system's map.
However, time and again proved to Zera that sitting down was not an option. Anything could jump right at them and attack.
It was ridiculous to think about it, but it has been a constant happenstance. If it would turn quiet again, Zera would be even more suspicious of that.
The silence was more terrifying now than the sudden noises they would hear. At least, the obvious disturbance alerted them where to look and what they could expect.
With a gentle tap on her shoulders, Xavier made Zera come to a stop. She was going to ask him what it was for when the broken signage of what used to be a playground stopped the words from escaping her lips.
