Zera silently admitted that she was now partially worried about Sharmaine.
The girl was alone, in a big city, and now strange things had happened.
"I would be scared if I were in her shoes," Zera muttered, catching Jaspreth's attention. The latter looked in her direction.
"She's a fighter," Jaspreth claimed, smiling his worries.
If Zera was worried, it was twice worse with Jaspreth.
"Right. Let's hope for the best." Zera turned to the road. She couldn't even find the right words to describe the chaos.
Monsters, beasts, and creatures she didn't imagine were scattered on the streets and, apparently, everywhere she would look.
"Why do I get the feeling that something is off?" Jaspreth grumbled beside her.
Zera took another look around. The three of them were trying to be careful. They couldn't risk being heard by the loitering monsters.
