Zera didn't even reach five when the lights from the other buildings slowly died one by one. Xavier stared at Zera, and the latter had a smirk on her lips.
"Do you believe me now?"
Xavier ran a hand through his hair. He admitted defeat and even chuckled.
"Wow," Xavier murmured. He looked at Zera once again. The smirk was still present on her lips, but he could see that her eyes weren't going along with it.
"Fine, you won."
Zera shook her head and snorted.
"I didn't win anything. I was just telling you the truth,"
"I've been enlightened, thanks."
Zera rolled her eyes. She shook her head again before turning to her friends. Jaspreth caught her gaze and gestured for her to come close.
With half of the city losing its light source, a commotion was bound to happen. People came out of their homes and gathered, figuring out what happened.
