Chapter 13 - Not Enough Power

"I feel like I'm about to die. How long has it been since my body has been forced to endure this pain? I feel as if I haven't slept for decades. I'm hungry and exhausted yet I can't do anything about it because my body is heavier than a full steel truck. Why isn't Jelal coming to my rescue? I feel like I'll die at any moment? Why isn't anyone coming to rescue me?" Christopher asked himself to which he realised something. Well technically he had realised it quite a while ago but had now finally accepted it.

"No one is truly going to come save me. No matter how much I beg or cry, I'll be left here to die. I don't have any choice but to starve to death. Why me? Why did ur have to be me who suffers so much. This isn't even training anymore. It's just pure and utter starvation," Christopher thought to himself as he began to understand he was all alone to which something surprising happened. That being that Christopher's will did not break. I'm fact the exact opposite of that took place. Christopher's resolve was stronger than ever and was finally ready to get out of the house that Jelal had trapped him inside.

"I don't care anymore. Hell, why does it matter if I die all alone? It's not like my own father will care. My mother is dead so she won't care either. Even my friends at school won't care and the media outlets wouldn't cover the story of how my mother was killed. In the end, I guess Crimson was right. Just because he had more power than me, he could do as he wished and no one would dare to get in his way. I guess being the number one hero is less focused on being a hero and rather about being the sole leader of the world. Not a single person would dare to oppose him as they simply didn't have the right to do so .

Crimson was protected by every possible law and person on the planet. They basically owed their lives to him for saving them so many times. However that didn't mean that at any moment, he would commit horrible acts to any number of them and the opinion which society held for Crimson wouldn't change as if it were to do so, Crimson himself would go on a rampage and get revenge on those who would dare to betray him.

"I'm tired of this. I refuse to keep feeling sorry for myself. I have to learn to fight back and win my own battles for once.

"I can't keep relying on my utter luck to win everything. After all, the last time I tried to use poison Crimson, it ended up with him taking everything from me and now I have to get revenge for that. I have to do this!" Christopher yelled out as he grit his teeth as hard as he could before placing his palms on the ground as he used it for support to push the rest of his body upwards to do something similar to a push up but was more focused on using it to help himself get up from the ground.

"Just a bit more," said Christopher as he continued to struggle all while using his full night to push himself upwards until he was finally kneeling on the ground as that was all he could do.

Next Christopher walked towards the door which led to the outside world to which Christopher saw as the gates to heaven as he no longer wanted to be inside the house he was in. It was completely draining him to even live let alone struggle to get outside. Even so, Christopher gave it absolutely everything he had and decided to use all his might to latch on to the door handle of the house and force it open before slowly but sure crawling in the door and making it back out into the outside world.

"Congratulations Christopher. It took you long enough but it seems like you finished the job so I guess you can celebrate or do whatever you wish to," said Jelal as he wanted to congratulate Christopher. However Christopher only looked at him with fangs of pure hate.

"You! It's your fault that I had to suffer for so long! I didn't have any water or food. For several days I was forced to endure hunger and thirst at gravity which none but the insane would dare to experiment with," said Christopher as he continued to grow stronger in hate and his blood continued to boil.

"I'm gonna kill you for everything you made me go through!" Christopher said out loud as he forced his already exhausted body to get up from the ground and attempt a hit at Jelal.

To Christopher's surprise, he managed to be moving a lot faster than he could have ever imagined which was weird as he didn't remember doing anything which could have caused him to grow at speeds that were unparalleled.

Although he hadn't realised it at the time, the reason he was so much faster was because of the time he had spent in the gravity chamber where his body was forced to get used to moving a lot slower due to it being placed in an area where gravitational strength was much greater than the outside world.

Nevertheless, although he was glad to have been able to move so quickly, those emotions quickly came to an end when Christopher's attempt at an attack was forcibly blocked by Jelal, who shrugged off the attack as if it was nothing.

"How interesting. I thought you would grow in strength by a lot more than this. You still have a long way to go. Don't come out until you've managed to feel like you deserve to even eat," said Jelal as he held the doors to the house where gravity was strengthened open before kicking Christopher back inside the house.

"You're making things far too simple for yourself. Work until you believe that you deserve to get a reward," said Jelal as he simply began to wait again.
