"Hey why is the ground getting so hot suddenly?" one of the teenagers asked in confusion. Of course the question is raised as to why they didn't assume that it was Christopher's ability however that's easily explained by the fact that they had already seen Christopher's ability and knew what it was due to him being the son of the second greatest hero in the world. As such, they had no reason to suspect that Christopher might have had a secret ability which he hid and did not even know about and they would find out about it for the first time themselves.
As the seconds passed, it became unbearable for the thugs to continue standing on the ground as it was getting heated to a point where they felt like the ground was melting and it was slowly eating them up so that it could suffocate them. As such, they decided to let Christopher go and leave the area so that they could run away in time. However their time had already run out as they began to run away for their own safety, a large explosion took place from the area in which all of them were standing. However that explosion wasn't anything normal, it was an explosion of magma. It had burst out as if it was releasing so much pressure before the magma flew everywhere and covered anything in its path before melting it. It melted anything in its way. All except Christopher as he was the owner of it and knew how to control it to at least a certain extent.
"Now where do you think y'all are going?" Christopher asked in a rather sinister tone as he had become aware of his ability to not only control fire but also magma. Since it was still a new thing for him, he needed plenty of time to practice using it, however he couldn't let his enemies know about that. That was the last ring they would ever need to know about him. As such, if he simply managed to play up a front which was more confident than the thugs could handle, he could get away without even a single scratch and could possibly also earn the respect of Jelal and his team of villains.
Luckily for Christopher, his plan ended up working perfectly as all of the thugs ran away for their lives while Christopher was left without a single scratch on his face nor body.
"Well, what are you really waiting for? Chase after them and get the job right? If you fail to kill them, this whole mission will be a bust-" Jelal began to speak but Christopher was not listening. Not because he was trying to be rude but because he had exhausted his body far too much and he couldn't go on any longer. Christopher once again passed out from pure exhaustion.
"One of you will take care of him and take him back to the mansion. I'll chase after them and finish the job," said Jelal before running off to capture the thugs.
After seeing Jelal leave the area, the comrade who was given responsibility over Christopher took his job seriously and began to head back towards the home base so that Christopher could get some rest. However this was all done while the comrade continued to think to himself and deliberated if he was working much harder than he had to as Christopher did whatever he wished and no one judges him for his actions. As such, the comrade thought that he might have been able to do so in the form of going back inside the mansion and sleeping until Jelal himself came after in an exhausting way.
"Hey, why is the kid on the ground and not on the bed? I told you to take care of him right?" Jelal asked as there was sweat on his face which depicted the hard work he went through to chase down all of the thugs and kill them one by one. Although it would have been easier to just do the job by himself, Jelal allowed Christopher a chance to grow in hatred. That plan worked perfectly and a lot better than he could have ever thought. The reason being that Christopher learned about his second ability which meant that he would be much more difficult to handle but also on the other hand, Christopher learned about true pain. He accepted it quickly too. The way in which he would be able to recover from a major injury during battle and strike back such as having his two fingers cut off and create flame constructed fingers to to replace them instead was a marvellous decision and Jelal could now have been more proud at what his little project was going along.
As such, he would expectedly be very angry at the fact that one of his very own comrades, which was basically his underling, would dare to disobey him, in fact, he wouldn't have cared as much of it as anything else. It was just that it harmed Christopher which caused his blood to boil.
…
"Answer me right now before I kill you," said Jelal as his blood was fuming and wanted to let it all go at once.
"Well my reason-" the comrade began to speak, however Jelal had already heard enough. He didn't need to listen to any more stupid things, as such he decided to simply take action as he slapped his own comrade across the face so hard that his neck cracked to the point that it caused him to die. A single slap was all it took to take down someone so much stronger than him which didn't make sense but due to Christopher's curious nature, he wanted to learn more about what Jelal had done and if it would be possible for him to replicate it. This was because the argument that Jelal was having with his own comrade caused Christopher to awaken from his slumber then gasp for air and start to feel sick once again as he had to witness another muder once again. All he wanted to do was go back to sleep and never wake up. Right after he had woken up, he was forced to see someone lose their lives which caused Christopher's head to panic once again but it was quickly calmed down by Jelal who gently placed his hand on Christopher's head before speaking to him,
"Everything will be just fine."
