Chapter 77 - Just Like That?

 

Aletheia sat holding Soteria's hand as they continued to look at her memories that were unlocked. They laughed at the sight of members "hitting" Soteria but missing. They cackled at the smug looks on their faces at the thought of hurting her. The concept behind the abuse wasn't funny, but it was funny to think that the entire satisfaction they had been getting was nothing more than a fallacy. It also helped remove a bit of Soteria's lasting trauma. Actually seeing for herself that she truly wasn't hurt versus hearing it was a big difference. It didn't change the fact that they had intended to hurt her, but it did make it easier to bear.
