Chapter 16 - A Saviour (Unknown POV)

Sébastien Elias was told that the person they sent to negotiate with the Moon Lake Clan fell to the persuasions of the Alpha, Nathan Murrows. His Alpha didn't tell him the source of the information, but he knew it had to be either Nathan's Beta, Jason, who they realized was a power-hungry traitor, or his chosen mate. The odds were that it was Jason attempting to curry favor with them by snitching. It disgusted him that a member of their pack would do something so depraved as forcing a girl to have s*x with him. He would have known that that was Michael's true face. He was just grateful that they found out about it now, before he caused irreparable harm to others.

He ran through Moon Lake City as fast as he could go, praying that he would make it in time to stop what was happening, praying that the girl wasn't drugged or already forced. Their source said that they'd reach around seven, and it was only seven minutes until then. He had to hurry.

He pushed himself to run faster. Just as he was about to turn a corner, he heard someone shouting, "Stop! Someone, anyone! Please help! "

He stopped in shock. He couldn't sense anyone within 10 kilometers of him. How was that voice projected so far? He shook his head, hesitating. Should he continue to save the girl or should he help this person first? Recalling the pain and terror in the voice he heard, he started running toward them before he even consciously made his decision.

All he could do was be quick about it, so he'd still make it in time. His figure was a blur as he ran through the dank alleys, his shadow mingling, unable to keep up with his speed. As he finally got to the place, he jumped through the window, proceeding cautiously.

He heard someone gasping for air, and as he stepped through, he saw the Moon Lake Clan Apha's son choking a girl.

"WHAT THE F**K ARE YOU DOING?" Sebastien shouted, rushing forward to pull him off of her. He picked her up with his other hand, pulling her backward while standing in front of her. He observed the Alpha's son for a moment. He wanted to tend to the girl, but he couldn't take his eyes off of him.

His eyes seemed feral, and he growled, "Why? Why not me? If I can't have her, then no one can. Give her back to me! "

The girl behind him whimpered. Sébastien growled, rushing forward to knock him out. He wanted to deal with it without killing him for now. As he got close, Nathaniel spun, narrowly avoiding him and rushing back to the girl.

"Mine! She's mine! You can't take her away from me! "

Sébastien turned, following him, and swiped his hand through the air, chopping him across his neck. As he fell to the ground, Sébastien punched him twice to ensure he was unconscious. He sighed in relief. At least he didn't have to kill him yet.

He felt a force building in front of him, and as he looked up, he saw the girl glowing with a silver light. Her hair changed color and her eyes shone brightly. She radiated power. So much so that he felt the need to kneel before her. What happened, he thought?

She felt Nathaniel being pulled off of her and someone's hand pulling her backward away from him. The newcomer stood in front of her protectively, looking at Nathaniel. She felt relief sweep through her.

Suddenly, she felt an out-of-body experience. She felt fear, panic, and shock that didn't belong to her. When she opened her eyes, she could see what they saw. She looked at her body, dressed in a purple and white fairy-like dress. When she looked up, she saw a half-naked, perverted-looking man leering at her with a hungry gaze.

"Well, well, well.... It seems like you know what you have to do now. So let's be a good little wh*re. We're offering protection for a long time in exchange for your cooperation, so don't do anything to upset me, would you? You wouldn't want your clan to be eliminated, would you? "

She was shocked. She felt herself returning to her own body. Rage and frustration swept through her. She felt her blood heat up, and what felt like power flowed through her, eliminating the pain she felt.

She stood up, looking at the man who had saved her. "Thank you. I need to go help her. She's waiting on me. Take him back. "

With that, she vanished.

Sébastien was stunned. Where did the fragile girl go? Who could tell him what that was? What changed? Where was he? Who was he? What was he even doing here at this point?

He felt as though he should be in a corner somewhere, drawing circles on the ground. He sighed, looking at the deranged person laying on the ground. He picked him up and headed out to the Moon Lake Clan. As he ran through the streets, he felt like there was something he had forgotten.

He stopped suddenly. He had forgotten the girl. He dropped the idiot and tied him to a building. Then he headed at full speed toward the direction of the building.

With all the delays, he just hoped it wasn't too late.
