Chapter 133 - Interlude...

He cried for what he had lost and how hard he had tried to change things at so many different points in time, all for nothing. He cried because of all the nights he was haunted by the past, and he cried because he had unknowingly put his friends through far more than he had known, when all he wanted to do was avoid them having to deal with his pain. 

Vas said nothing as he hugged his friend. He knew how much he hated showing any form of weakness. Even if he showed it to them, he was always unnecessarily worried about putting pressure on them or worrying them. It tended to be frustrating at times because they never knew if he was really coping or not, but they were also unable to force it in case they dredged up what he had been trying to bury. Today showed that they clearly needed to be far more proactive in drawing him out of his shell, whether or not he liked it.
