Chapter 112 - Too Much...

Capes of dark shadows hung in the canopies above. Spires of dewy mist enraptured the towering heads of the pine trees. They writhed around them like a snake wrapping itself around its unsuspecting prey, deadly and enticing. Swirls of mist caressed the rough bark of the trees, adding an almost mystical air to the forest. The vapor spread out, giving life to the damp breath of the forest. It spread both quickly and unerringly, with its intent clear for all to see. It deadened sound, added an eerie undertone to the open clearings and poured into empty spaces. An unnatural silence hung over the grove where he stood. Nothing stirred, nothing shone, nothing sang. All that was left was the preternatural air that made you feel as though something was coming. 

Even if you weren't sure what was going to happen, you could tell by the atmosphere that something was definitely coming.
