As Aletheia held Soteria's shaking body in her arms, she gently rubbed her back. She knew it was something she needed to get out of her system, so she didn't particularly mind it. She was only concerned about whether someone might hear her or even smell the sorrow emanating from her. Since she herself had never shifted, she didn't fully understand how it worked, but, from what her guardians said, strong emotions carried a scent. That was what she was worried about. She continued to stroke her sister's back, not so she'd stop crying, as that wouldn't be best for her, but so she'd calm down just a bit. If she was calmer, it would eliminate the possibility of her emotions being smelled.
