Chapter 4 - Delivery from pain

Daniel walked out of the building but turned around wanting to ask one more question but as he looked back the building was empty and all the candles were out "Damn it, i hate this place" he gripped his gun and went into town. But a few steps away from the building he was attacked and dropped on to the ground. Daniel immediately rolled over gripped the rifle like a bat and swung it at the creature he then without hesitation shot it in the head and took a proper look at it. It looked human ish with short horns like that of a bull with eyes as red as blood and its skin as dark as the night "I hope Holly isn't one of these I'd really hate to kill her" Daniel said as reloaded his gun.

Meanwhile on the other side of town Holly was held up on the top of a building as the creatures were banging against the door trying to get to her "I'm running low on ammo "hm the standard size pistol magazine holds usually 18 to 21 rounds. This one only had 14 and I've already used 6 only have 8 left and these things don't seem to die" Holly said as she looked around for a way to escape. She noticed the door was on its last hinges " I'll be overrun if I stay here" holly started to run "okay gymnastics class don't fail me now" she yelled as jumped off that building on the next one.

"Woah, I made it, pretty cool if I do say so myself" she said as she continued to run and jump on to the next building which was a hotel. The door on the first building burst open and the creatures came running out and jumping to her building, Holly open the roof door and started to run down the stairs. the creatures crushed in through the windows and chased her through the halls she reached a kitchen on the 3 floors on her way down. She paused as something caught her attention "well I've had worse ideas" she said as she cut the pipes on the gas stoves in the room. Holly went back into the corridor to gain more running ground and the creatures noticed her and started to chase after her as she ran fast through the kitchen Holly jumped out bursting through the window. Aiming to crash into the next buildings window she turned around and fired her gun at a metal cabinet in the kitchen "bye bitches" she shouted as the spark caused by the friction between bullet and the Cabinet ignited the methane being released by the gas cylinders causing a massive explosion the force propels Holly into the next building "Wow! that worked" she says as she passes out.

Hold up in the police station with the door barricaded and the creatures slamming against door is Daniel *sisisisisisisi* "okay now let me look for the armory and that sound they make is so annoying ahh" but then suddenly Daniel hears an explosion *boom* "what was that i better hurry up" he goes to the back room and finds the armory locked up and decides to shoot up the locks with his gun but after realizes that the keys were on the key hold "meh either way it opened" Daniel starts to pick weapons from the locker he gets 3 grenades and an assault rifle 'I'd like to carry more but it weigh me down' he thought to himself. As he decides what his getting, he realizes that it's become too quiet Daniel stops what his doing and heads back to the front desk.

"Why is it so quiet did they leave?" Daniel felt relief for a moment but then suddenly the door was sent flying into the room and missed Daniel by mere inches. The creatures flooded into the police station, their red eyes gleaming with a hunger for human blood. Daniel swiftly ducked behind the desk, his heart pounding in his chest. He knew he had to act fast if he wanted to survive. Gripping his assault rifle tightly, Daniel took aim and opened fire on the advancing horde. Burst after burst of gunfire erupted from the barrel, mowing down several creatures in a hail of bullets. But they kept coming, Daniel stumbled back as the creatures closed in on him, their gnarled claws reaching out. Just as he thought he was done for, a commanding voice pierced through the room.

*"Halt!"*

The creatures immediately froze, dividing to make way for a figure that emerged from the shadows. The newcomer had an aura of Authority his presence exuding power. As he approached Daniel, a wicked smile curled upon his lips. "Well, well, what do we have here?" the figure taunted "Another insignificant human trying to play hero in this wretched town." Daniel struggled to regain his composure. "Who the hell are you?" he said. The figure laughed mockingly; his eyes glazed with amusement. "Names are irrelevant, but you may call me Zephyrus," he replied, emphasizing his self-proclaimed importance. "And you, my dear Daniel, are just a pawn in this in my game." "What game? What are you talking about?" Zephyrus laughed *"Wahabah*, his grip on Daniel's shirt tightening as he effortlessly lifted him off the ground with one hand. "Oh, Daniel, you are so naive. You see These creatures; they are not mindless monsters they were once fragile humans where do you think the inhabitants of this town are now. They are all dead or should I say undead, my loyal science experiments."

Daniel struggled against Zephyrus' grip. "Savior? You call this destruction and chaos saving anyone? What the hell do you want?" Zephyrus grinned, relishing in the situation. He pushed his glasses back "I want to reclaim what is rightfully mine. This town, this realm, this world, was once the dominion of my kind. Now, it is time for our triumphant return, and these creatures are the instruments of our salvation. I am step closer to perfecting the cure" Daniel looked straight into Zephyrus eyes "You're not human, are you? What are you?" Zephyrus leaned in closer. "We are the forgotten ones primordia's, the ancient beings that your feeble human minds can barely comprehend. We were here long before your kind, and we shall be here long after."

"You're crazy" Daniel said as he tried to shoot Zephyrus in the head but grabbed his gun and crushed it in his hands.

Zephyrus laughed, "Wahaha You human, stop me ha what a joke. You are merely an insignificant obstacle in my path. But fear not, I will spare you—for now. You are too valuable to die right now Daniel" With a casual flick of his hand, Zephyrus tossed Daniel aside like a rag doll, sending him crashing into a pile of debris. As he struggled to rise to his feet, Daniel started to think the situation was hopeless.
