Leo and Maximus had just emerged from the thick forest, and what they saw outside left them both puzzled and concerned. The ground was littered with the lifeless bodies of beasts - not just a few, but an astonishing number, perhaps thousands of them. These beasts included those that flew in the sky and those that roamed on land. The sight was gruesome, with torn bodies and a sense of eerie silence hanging in the air.
What struck Leo and Maximus as strange was that during their entire journey through the dense forest, they hadn't encountered a single one of these beasts. The forest, which they had expected to be teeming with wildlife, had been strangely empty. This made the current scene outside the forest even more bewildering.
Leo and Maximus, however, weren't overcome with fear at the sight of the corpses. Instead, they were filled with a deep curiosity and a desire to understand what had happened.
"Maximus what happened here?" Leo said in a solemn voice.
