"Here!"
Sylvia easily threw the shopping bag at me.
"What's this?"
I checked what was in this shopping bag. And it turns out, this bag contains clothes and sleeping pants, a toothbrush and several other toiletries, towels, face wash, underwear, and a knife.
"Oh, I left my knife there. Sorry, it's not yours."
Sylvia took the knife quickly, ignoring me who was still confused about what these items were for.
"Who is this for?" I asked in a confused tone.
"For you."
"For me? Of whom?"
"Master Andre gave it all to you. So that's your stuff."
"Andre?"
"Yeah. Hurry up and take a shower, you stink. You're a bum."
"..."
Those are words I don't want to hear. She said that easily, commanding me as if I had body odor.
I didn't expect that Andre would give it all there. I didn't even realize he told Sylvia to buy this.
Well, since I'm a grateful person, I'll be thanking him later.
I'm not the kind of person who refuses. If I was given something, of course, I would accept it. If not, that's no problem. I got this, then I have this. Of course, if he asks for money, I will pay for all of this. That's not a problem for me. I am a person who accepts anything as it is, not a person who is reluctant to accept anything.
Therefore, when Sinta asked me to work here, I immediately took it for granted. I don't deny it nor wonder why she asked me to work here.
Arriving at the bathroom, the bathroom on the 2nd floor, which is quite close to Andre's room, I cleaned, washed my face, and brushed my teeth quickly. It only took me 20 minutes to complete this. I don't like to linger when I'm in the bathroom. I also don't like to soak in the tub. Because of that, I took a shower so quickly.
"Very fast..."
Sylvia was surprised when I returned to Andre's room. She didn't even think that I would be able to return so soon.
"Are you human or duck? You showered so fast."
I knew her words were making fun of me, but I still tried to stay calm in the face of it. Because after all, she was currently holding a knife, which was ready to be used at any time. Therefore, instead of getting into trouble with her, I chose to ignore her, just nodding.
"Wait another 30 minutes, dinner will be ready. I'll excuse myself first."
She left me alone in this room.
Andre left 1 hour ago. He said that he wanted to talk to his sister, Livia. He wanted to convey that he already had a good coach for him, and said that I was not a danger to his sister.
Andre and I had a chance to talk when Sylvia just left this room. Andre asked if I was interested in his sister or not. Because I am an honest human being, I immediately answered "not interested" with his sister. After that, Andre was happy with my answer.
For me, he probably asked that to protect his sister against me. He didn't want his sister to have bad things happen to her, like what happened a while ago. So maybe by asking that, Andre is sure that I'm not a bad person for his sister.
That's not a problem for me. Everyone is free to have an opinion about me, whether I'm a good person or a bad person. Everyone has a different point of view. So, I won't have a problem with myself being judged badly though.
After that, Andre told me a few things about his sister. He said that his sister had been saved by someone. All this time, his sister kept looking for that person to thank. And just then, I responded with silence. I knew that the person his sister was looking for was me.
I just let Andre go, so that time will tell when he will find out.
"Hello."
I called my mother, to tell her I wasn't going home and to help her look after the shop.
My mother opened a cake shop when my father was alive. She was able to support both me and Rika only from the cake shop. She has no trouble providing for neither me nor Rika. She is the mother I love the most in this world.
After talking about I won't be coming home, I said she should take care of her health and let Rika accompany her to look after the shop.
"But..."
"Never mind, just let Rika help you, Mama. You have to stay healthy."
She must stay healthy. I'm not completely happy with it. I haven't kept my promise to her. I still can't build a house for her, continue to trouble her with having a stubborn son like me.
"Where is Rika now?" I ask.
"She is on the side now."
Rika should have known what she had to do. She is my 13-year-old stepsister. My mom and dad accidentally found it in front of our house. Someone accidentally threw it away. It was very sad for her, and she knew it.
"Give her your cell phone."
When the voice on my smartphone changed to Rika's, I quickly told her to help my mother.
"Rika, you can, right?"
"Yes. Don't worry, Rika will always help mama."
"Thank you, Rika. I'm sorry for bothering you."
"Does not matter."
"What do you want? When I get home, I'll buy you something."
"There's no need. Rika doesn't need anything. Rika just needs Daylon to get home safely."
"Ah, just troublesome. You want to have a smartphone too, right? Just like school friends."
"No, Rika..."
"I'll buy it later. Don't worry, I can work regularly."
"T-Thank you."
Just like me, Rika also has the attitude of accepting anything from what people give her. So if I say what she wants, she won't be able to refuse it.
After talking to them, I looked at my smartphone and sighed.
"Geez."
The smartphone that I use is fairly damaged. The screen on this smartphone has many cracks, even the glass on this smartphone screen sometimes hurts my skin. My smartphone—no, the Bengawan Club's smartphone had been taken by them. I don't have that smartphone anymore, because it's not mine. So, the smartphone that I am currently using is quite old and has been damaged. I'm not even sure if this smartphone can play the Mobile Heroes game or not.
BANG!
The door slammed, Andre was the one who slammed the door. He suddenly entered by breaking the door, almost startled me.
"Mr. Daylon..." He walked over to me with a gleam on his face.
"What?"
"Is it true..."
"Um?"
"You were the one who helped Livia? You were the one who saved Livia from my former coaches?"
He seemed to have known that. His sister must have told him that.
I responded by nodding and putting my smartphone in my pants pocket.
"This is fate," Andre said in a very happy tone. He couldn't hide his feelings.
"Fate?"
"Yes, this is fate. You know, Livia has been looking for you all this time. She even walked the same path over and over again, the one where you saved her. She did it so she could meet you, Mr. Daylon. She wished she could thank you and even asked some of the maids to look for you. She was looking for you, but you were the one who found her. Isn't this what is called destiny?"
"Yeah." I nodded, trying to swallow what he just said.
"And now, you are my coach. It's an extraordinary destiny."
Extraordinary? What?
This is only natural. He was still a teenager, still happy to know the facts of what had happened. He still couldn't hide what he was feeling right now. So, I understood that and just confirmed what he said.
"Get over here!" Andre suddenly pulled my hand, right on my injured hand.
When he takes me to some unknown place, I continue to endure this pain. I don't want to disturb his fun just because my right palm hurts. Therefore, I can only endure this pain and continue to do what he wants.
"Livia... Livia..."
Andre kept calling his sister. He kept circling the house looking for his sister. And of course, he continued to hold the palm of my right hand.
When I arrived at the dining room, I saw several maids, including Sylvia, putting some food on the table.
"Via, have you seen Livia?" Andre asked Sylvia.
"Wasn't she with you, Master Andre?"
"Yes, I did, but I just left her when she told me that it was Mr. Daylon who saved her."
"Master Daylon saved Miss Livia?"
"Yes. You did not know?"
"Not."
"Mr. Daylon was the one who saved Livia that time."
"What?" She was taken aback, but the knife was pointed at me anyway. "Is that true?"
"Yeah, that's right. Just ask Mr. Daylon."
After Andre said that, Sylvia looked at me seriously. And of course, keep pointing the knife at me.
"Is that true, Master Daylon?"
I responded by nodding.
"That's right, isn't it?" Andre said.
"Oh, I see. No wonder Miss Livia suddenly ran over."
"Where did you find out?"
"No, I didn't know that."
She was hiding something from Andre. She had answered that Livia was suddenly mean, which meant she had seen Livia and knew where Livia was. She hid it from Andre, and I realized it.
"...Okay." Andre was resigned, resigned to knowing that Sylvia didn't know where Livia was. "What can I do, it's better if we just wait here."
Yeah, he resigned, realizing that the facts didn't match what he wanted. He must have hoped that he would be able to meet Livia with me by taking me in. He must have had such a desire. But again, the facts don't match what he wants.
Livia hid from him, who likely realized that Andre would take me to meet her. That's what I expected from Sylvia's response to Andre.
As Andre gave up and sat there without taking me, I approached Sylvia and whispered to her.
"Never lie to Andre! If you know that, you should tell him the truth. He is my student, so whatever happens to him, I will be responsible. I warn you, Maid!"
"Sorry..."
She apologized, knowing her mistake—or perhaps, it was my words too much to her that made her tremble with fear.
"Oh..."
When she suddenly dropped the knife, I decided to leave her and sat beside the still listless Andre.
"Don't worry, she'll be here later," I said, trying to comfort him.
"Really?"
"Ah. Trust me."
I predict that Livia will join in on this dinner. I'm sure Andre will meet her. I'm very sure of it.
Troublesome... I have to keep my emotions in check. If I continue to be emotional, I will hurt other people.
