Chereads / Be a Legend: Hyper Role / Chapter 15 - Troublesome Maid

Chapter 15 - Troublesome Maid

I hate that look. Her gaze was so cynical as if she was threatening me. Her eyes were beautiful, but she used them to glare at me scornfully. She seemed like she didn't want me to be too close to Andre, even though I was Andre's coach and teacher.

It's troublesome—the maid is troublesome.

"Ah..."

Even just to speak, I had to argue. I was disturbed by the look in her eyes. I got goosebumps, plus, the transfer from hot to cold places made my body temperature rise.

I'm not too comfortable in an air-conditioned room when I'm out of a hot room.

The lure of thinking to myself, I chose to approach Sylvia.

"Um… Sylvia? Or... Via? Or… maid?"

"Just allow me to choose one."

"Oh..."

Should I thank you for this?

"Okay, Maid. I-"

"Just call me Via."

"...Okay."

You told me to pick one, but it turns out... Never mind, forget it!

"Via, I want-"

"You can call me Sylvia too. Oh, Maid looks cool too. So you can use all three names."

Her cynical gaze turned instantly to confusion.

"Come to think of it, it's up to you what you call me," She said, looking back at me scornfully.

There's no need to think about it. She made it all up to her mind, creating confusion for herself.

"Via... Okay, I'll just call you Via."

"Yeah, it's up to you. Why are you the one making a fuss about it!?"

I quickly looked behind her, looking for a sharp object. After that, I canceled my intention to injure her and sighed calmly.

"Listen to me!"

"Why should I listen to you? You are not my master, so what for?"

"…Well, that's if you want. If you don't want to listen to me, that's fine. But, you will disappoint Andre later. Do you want to disappoint him?"

She quickly turned her gaze to Andre, who was right behind me; on that bed.

"What do you mean? Why can I disappoint my employer?"

"This is because of a request from Andre."

"Request? What's that?"

"That's why you listen to me first!"

For some reason, I've been weighing up the tempo of the tone of the voice, and that might have calmed her down a bit.

"O-Okay."

And sure enough, she instantly tames me just like that, averting her gaze from my face.

"Andre, your master, asked me to also teach you to play. I don't know if you deserve it over not. Also, I don't know if you intend to become a professional player or not. But, what is clear for now, will I teach you how to play properly?"

"Is that a request from Master Andre?"

"Yeah. He said you enjoy playing the Mobile Heroes game. So, for that, I would like to accept the request."

"Master Andre." She looked at where Andre was, and after that, she looked back at me with doubt. "Is that the best choice for me?"

She asked something that was none of my business. She should have known about herself, not me, but instead asked me about herself. How strange.

"I do not know. There's something I want to confirm with you."

"What's that?"

"Did you enjoy playing the game?"

"..." She pondered for a moment. She seemed to be thinking about something. Her face looked calmer. After that, she looked back at me. "Yes."

"I see."

That's enough for me. She has already shown that she likes and enjoys playing the game, so I just need to give her the best direction for her.

"Take your smartphone now! Open that game app!"

"Do you want to steal my new smartphone? I won't give it to you."

"…Hurry up and follow my words!"

"Okay."

As she was taking her smartphone out of her uniform pocket, I noticed that her hands were shaking. It looked like she was in a hurry to get her smartphone.

After that, she was able to reach for her smartphone. However, she dropped her smartphone when she wanted to show it to me.

"Oh no..."

Since I realized that, I instantly grabbed the smartphone with my right hand before falling to the floor.

I managed to get the smartphone, but as a result of that, I felt pain in the palm of my right hand.

"..."

I can bear the pain. My right-hand hurts a lot, even though this wound has been 1 year ago.

I gave her a smartphone, then advised her to be more careful.

"Next time, be careful. This is the smartphone you just bought last night, right?"

"T-Thank you. My new smartphone doesn't scuff. Ah… thank goodness."

I may still be able to lift something with the fingers of my right hand, but not with the palm of my right hand. The wound on my right palm is quite deep, making my right palm have to go through treatment; that is, sewn. The knife, a knife from 1 year ago, pierced the palm of my right hand to the tip. My right palm even had a very large hole before getting stitches.

To start activities such as holding, reaching, clenching something in the palm of my right hand, I had to endure excruciating pain. This is indeed difficult, but I realize that the fact is like that. So, for the past 1 year, I have continued to endure the excruciating pain, and hope that my right palm will heal so that I can return to my normal activities, including playing the Mobile Heroes game.

After she managed to open the game application, I began to approach her wishes and about her. Because after all, I have to get to know its characteristics first so that I can teach it properly.

Andre and she are very different. She is a grown woman, while Andre is a teenager, so she will be more difficult to teach than Andre.

"What heroes do you like? I mean, what Hero Role do you like?"

"Mage… I like wearing Mage Heroes."

"No wonder you don't use Tank Heroes, so you like Mage Heroes."

"Yeah, I like that. I like Heroes who can kill enemies quickly. Of course, killing by torture first."

Her face instantly turned sinister as she said that, and almost made me step back.

"Oh, I see. If you like it, that's fine with me."

Mage roles are heroes who prioritize damage in the early-game, mid-game, and late-game; all game time. The Mage Role is based on combos that are categorized as difficult and require fast hands. Many skills on Mage Role Heroes are both advantageous and disadvantageous.

If the user of that role cannot maximize the combo on the skills of the hero used, it will result in an error. If that happens, you will not be able to kill your enemy, on the contrary, you are the one who is killed by your enemy. Therefore, the Mage Role requires a user who has fast-hand skills to use the correct skills according to the combo of the hero used.

I've seen Sylvia use the Mage Role well. She can maximize combos on the heroes she uses. She kills her enemies with Burst Damage and Crowd Control to the hero she uses. She can deal damage to her enemies, so her team is not overwhelmed during battle.

That's her ability. I admit that she was great.

However, she also has a glaring weakness. She didn't realize that the Mage Role she was using had low HP, so she was vulnerable to being killed so easily by her enemies. And worst of all, she is too eager to kill her enemies and even goes after her enemies just because of her feelings of revenge. That's her glaring weakness. She wouldn't be fit to use the Mage Role if she had such a weakness.

To cover up her weakness, she must be more concerned with her team than her selfishness. She had to throw away her vengeful feelings for the sake of her team. She must learn and know how to properly regulate her emotions, thus making her more calm and relaxed. It would be perfect for the Mage Role if she was like that.

So, for now, I'm going to make her realize how important it is to get rid of her ego.

"Then now, I want to ask you something. What is the purpose of the match for?"

"For the win."

"What makes a match win?"

"By killing the enemies."

"…No, that's not what I meant. We're talking about this game, not any other game. If you play an FPS type game, it's possible to win a match like that."

"Umm…" She thought for a moment, placing her hand on her chin. "Oh, I know."

"What?"

"Destroy the enemy team's base. Right, right?"

"Yeah, that's the basis of the game. Then, what would it take to destroy the enemy team's base?"

"Break the Pillars first, right?"

"..."

She is no way led me towards an answer to my question. I meant to make her realize that to win a game it takes good and right teamwork.

Her answer was correct, but that's not what I wanted.

"Well, that's how it is. But, did you know?"

"Not."

"I haven't asked that, why are you even answering?"

"Sorry. So, what do you want to ask?"

"Do you know about destroying the enemy team's base and Pillars?"

"Of course."

"How to?"

"Killing the enemies. If they Wiped Out, I can destroy the Pillars easily, without even bothering anyone."

"..."

For some reason, I turned to the clock on the wall.

My return time is still long. There are still 3 hours left for me to be here. It's so tiring. Ah, ah~ it can't be helped, it's a risk for me to teach her. So, I have to accept that.

"Listen to me, Via!"

"Yes?"

...
