Project Vero: Test subject#13...commencing tests...
I woke up, submerged in a strange liquid and surrounded by dozens of bipedal creatures, all wearing some sort of material.....suddenly, the liquid began to drain out of my confinement as I was forced to stand on shaky legs for the first time. The confinement opened and I was able to step out, my feathers drenched with that liquid I was submerged in, as I was guided to a large, open room. Suddenly a voice boomed over a loud speaker, filling the large room. Commencing athletics test....suddenly, a bunch of barricades and bars began to fill the room.
subject 13, please vault these obstacles.
I do as I am told and jump the obstacles with ease before I am told to run on a treadmill. they speed it up, making it go faster and faster, making my legs work harder. I eventually got to my top speed of 60km/h, exhaustion building. suddenly, a big, juicy peace of meat was placed in front of me, and for a few seconds I got an adrenaline-fueled rush that made my exhaustion dissapear, and I exceeded my top speed, reaching around 75km/h, before losing my footing and tripping, launching me against the Wall, causing me to getting a concussion and knocking me out.
I woke up with a start, franticly looking around and wondering where I was before crying out in pain. I looked down and saw a large bandage wrapped around my torso, and my left arm hurt like hell! I instinctually went to lick my wounds, but found a strange device around my neck, I couldn't remove it no matter how hard I tried! so now I was stuck with the powerful instinct to lick my wounds, but am unable to! frustrated, I laid back to go to sleep, before a veterinarian came in to check on me.
oh you poor thing, not even a day since you had awoken and already this performed the athletics test on you! they must be getting desperate.....
he checked me over, seeing if everything was healing nicely. even doing a health check, touching me in some places I was not comfortable with! eventually, he left, waving goodbye to me and shutting the door behind him. with peace and quiet again, I layed my head down and drifted off to sleep.
