Chapter 8 - Saviours

●Think about it, let it go, forget about it, move on

None of it changes the fact that it still exist●

"What do you mean he's poisoned?" Diya questioned, not knowing what to say in that situation while her adrenalin soared to the sky.

"I feel the urge to apologise." Ariem stepped forward sticking the dart arrows into her waist band as she wiped off the brown sticky substance that turned out to be poison, on her long black, shiny shrug.

"Apologise? You killed my brother." Zoya yelled out almost in tears.

"Woah. Woah. Don't you think kill word is kind of overkill here? First, I'd like to apologise for acting before knowing and next, Fonjuar, you mind turning into someone more helpful in this situation?" Ariem's words confused Zoya, Diya and Mikesh while Dadi just stayed on ground beside Imam, waiting patiently for further scenarios to unfold and Sol was in her usual serene state, giving out a faint smile, possibly of hope or pride.

Standing under the night sky with millions of dull and bright stars, feeling the wave of coldness across the bare face, they all stared at the wild animal in front. Fonjuar's bright yellow eyes stared back, Sol threw a big piece of cloth on it and slowly the body of a black four legged beast turned into a real human, like a man, fitting into the piece of cloth given by Sol.

Now in front of them stood an, only ever heard werewolf in his human form wearing a gown tied to the front.

They gaped at the wolf turn man in front of their very eyes, taking in the shock of experiencing impossible.

"Oh my God. Tell me this isn't real." Diya whispered.

"Am I dreaming?" Mikesh too kept gaping without moving a muscle.

"Here you are and here is my piece of advice, this isn't the most impossible you are going to come across if you intend to find what you're looking for." Sol said while the spectators watched the man smell his gown, crunching his nose and then rub some invisible dust off his sleeves.

"Where did you get this from? Pickle closet?" Fonjuar sounded nothing like those intimidating television show werewolfs, he was cool and clumsy, and definitely used a good shaving technique judging by his sharp beardless face.

"You can comply with your wish to take it off any time dear." Sol retorted.

"And show these strangers my wee wee?" Fonjuar tried to whisper but was audible to everyone.

"We do not care about your wee wee, we care about our friend. Would you help us help him?" Diya said out loud getting frustrated with their fancy talk minute by minute.

Coming forward to tower over the unconscious figure on the ground, the three of them gave each other a knowing look before Ariem and Fonjuar bend down and shifted Imam, carefully placing him in more comfortable position to be treated.

Ariem pulled some oval shaped pills out of some mysterious pocket in her pant and handed them to Fonjuar who immediately shifted his fingers to wolf claws and punctured the pills one by one, letting the liquid content drip into Imam's mouth held open by Ariem.

Despite the fear, Dadi and others believed these strangers with their lives, they were their best chance at finding Shivani while staying alive.

A few minutes into watching the two strangers fumble with their treatment methods, they stood up watching over at Sol, " He should be up and running in a few minutes."

"There you go, this friend of yours is as good as the one 15 minutes before. I would suggest, rather than wasting another of our precious second, talk." Sol urged to continue the sharing of information and get on with the work.

"My granddaughter, Shivani disappeared a couple of days ago from the petrol station 5-6 kilometres from here. Police found her mobile and some traces of blood but the blood is someone else's so possibly there was more than one person abducted that night." Dadi explained everything to the creatures in front and showed them a photograph of Shivani.

"Understood, but what guided you here? towards these mountains." Fonjuar spoke up. These words of seriousness seemed eerie from the mouth of someone who was mocking himself a few minutes ago over undressing in front of the strangers. His light yellowish eyes were now clearly visible in the moonlight and jawling was cutting right through the rays.

"I...I have this feeling sometimes, like intuition." Diya fumbled with the words to express her concoction of emotions as precisely as possible, "they often have relation to what follows in real life but it's often just nothing to bother about much."

"Your preternatural intuition brought you here, I hope it will guide us well further." Sol said.

Suddenly Imam stirred and everyone bend down to check on him.

"Imam?" Zoya's concerned voice broke the dead silence of the night, "How are you feeling now?"

Imam sat up and looked around confused, focusing on each and every face one by one, " What happened?"

"Some weirdo shot you with a poisoned dart." Mikesh said gesturing to Ariem, making her frown.

Who did you just called a weirdo, you lost human?" Ariem spoke up suddenly realising that she's exposed herself in front of her victim.

"Why would you do that? Why did you shot me?"

"Apologies, a little misunderstanding got in way. Hope you are in good health now." Ariem turned and walked away from the group, embarrassed.

"What is she?" Imam asked as, like others, he too has never seen a person with green skin before today.

"Imam these people are ready to help us find Shivani." Zoya said as Imam stood up, taking in the more of his environment, "That wolf, Fonjuar, did he leave? Thank God."

"Really man? I literally brought you back from dead." Fonjuar said from his spot where he was leaning comfortably on the trunk of a giant tree.

"Excuse me?"

Fonjuar left his spot and slowly closed the distance along with transforming his humanly face to the wolf's, eyes shining in darkness of the witching hour.

"What the hell is that? A werewolf?" Imam stared straight into the wolf eyes as it changed back to human's.

"For the record I can do this with my complete body, so yep, a werewolf. We compensated for shooting you with curing you." Fonjuar said strolling casually, giving out cool guy vibes. Sol was sitting like herself on one of the rocks waiting for the reunion to end.

"Thanks, I guess, then." Imam said, not entirely in terms with what was going on.

"Are we done with the show offs? It's going to sun up soon, better get going." She said as Ariem too joined them back.

"Where?" Dadi asked.

"First we'll find out if this granddaughter of yours was seen anywhere around here, if yes, we will help you find her, if you prefer." Ariem said.

"Of course we'd need your help. Thank you. But where are we going?"

"We are going to meet some of our friends. Come on, let's go." Ariem, Sol and Fonjuar turned towards the path they emerged from and without uttering another word, Diya, Zoya, Dadi, Imam and Mikesh, followed.

"Oi what if police or someone find our car here?" Mikesh whispered.

"Then I guess we'll all be filled as missing as well."

Imam replied without bothering to take a last look at the car they were leaving for a totally new, mysterious and a thousand times more dangerous world.
