Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Prologue Part 1

Power. He has that. Maybe a little too much of it even. From the cosmos, he stared into the vast universe that he ate. And perhaps it was because he was peeking inside of himself, he saw a similarity between him and the universe he ate-

Emptiness. Achieving omnipotence and omniscience would turn out to be his chains.

Not that there was much to bind.

He tried to kill himself, but the universe he ate turned out to be the shackles that will bind him for eternity. He can't die. His power was infinite, and so was his life. His fate was to be the universe itself, his will fading into the vast nothingness. Then, he arrived.

The Hero.

It would turn out that no matter how many times he kills the Hero, he would simply return by resurrecting himself.

"Mammon! You've killed all of humanity, it's time for you to pay!"

With his god-given sword, he slashed into the cosmos, into Mammon himself. It contained the combined might of the remaining gods that Mammon spared or simply forgot to absorb, as well as his very own power - The Concept of Hope.

It was an attack that he foresaw from eons and lightyears away, but Mammon is not only omniscient and omnipotent, he is also omnipresent. He is Despair Incarnate, maybe he is Despair itself.

But to everyone's surprise, the attack connected. It was enough to kill the tyrant many times over. Since he was the Universe itself, everything was doomed to die.

That was supposed to be what would happen... And yet...

Ashen Gray hair, big round crimson eyes, and puffy plump cheeks. The feeling of being pushed out into a cold, open world. Each of his senses was tingling and sensitive, everything he felt in the first few seconds were painful and murky. Then, the fog settled-

SNIP!

"It's a healthy boy!" the midwife exclaimed happily after cutting the umbilical cord. It was truly a beautiful child. In fact, he was the most beautiful child she's ever seen in 60 years of being a midwife. She was expecting the boy's loud cries right about now, but that never came. It was a healthy boy and yet, it troubled the midwife. It's a popular belief that a child who doesn't cry at birth will grow up to be a problem, but his parents dismissed this as a mere saying.

"I wonder what this curious boy is thinking right now? Is he happy? Hungry perhaps?"

Ridiculous. - was the baby's first thought. Crying is a sign of weakness, so why should he, the most powerful being in existence, cry? Well, he WAS once the most powerful, and the fact that he woke up to see an unfamiliar ceiling and ginormous figures, he was simply confused.

Where am I?

W-who are these people?

I'm supposed to be dead!

Many questioned followed, but nobody was there to answer. Instead, the people around him lost themselves in other topics-

"What should we name him?" The child's mother asked her husband. They were the parents, but the thousand year old child wasn't aware at the time.

"Hmm, his eyes are as red as the healthiest of hearts, so how about Aizen2?"

"Oh, Aizen. From now on, you're Aizen. Aizen Frost."

The midwife spoke all of a sudden to remind the mother to feed her child.

Being the former Demon King that he was, Aizen was supposed to be omniscient, yet he knew nothing of this world nor the current scenario at hand. He was supposed to see the future yet all he's seeing is a giant woman that he doesn't recognize stripping right in front of him.

W-what are you doing? Get your filthy breasts away from my MMMPHH-

This stranger shoved her breasts into his mouth. A complete stranger did. He's never been so humiliated before and he is furious. He wanted to smite the woman right away. As usual, he channeled his energy unto his hands and with it, struck the woman ruthlessly-

"Oh, look honey! He's patting my breasts! It looks like he likes it!"

"Heh, what an energetic child we have, my love."

-yet even though he was supposed to be omnipotent, no power came out of his body. Not a single drop. He can't even speak. He's sunken this low.

Where are my powers? Godfucking damn it! Fuck you Hero you fucking bitch go die in a ditch I hope you get stitched-

And he cursed the Hero for 7 straight days.

A week later-

Aizen Frost, 7 days old, is currently trying to sit up straight. At first, he was lying with his back on the floor. Then, with much effort, he flipped himself. Using his legs and arms, he slowly elevated himself up. Finally, he sat up straight by balancing his body.

I did it! After days of trying, I, the great Mammon, have sat up straight! - he raised his tiny little arms in triumph. His way of talking still hasn't changed, but he's working on it. During his time as an infant, he has learned many things and realized many more.

This world is a completely different world from the one he previously consumed. A new universe.

In the world he absorbed, the main source of power was one's Mark. A Mark is one's power given to him at birth and can be cultivated with multiple methods, from training arduously to killing a person. Mammon's Mark technique was that he was able to consume an entity and make it a part of him.

However, in this world, there is no such thing. Magic dominates here, and like Mark, it is given at birth. The difference is that one can't properly use it until the age of 12.

How did he know all of this?

See those 2 dumb-looking "adults" peeking at the door? Those are his parents. His mother reads storybooks to him before he "sleeps" (Aizen can't sleep). The information was scuffed, but he was smart enough to determine the rest. But this can't do, he needs to gather more information. At the very least, he was thankful that the language was the same as his former world.

He wanted the books located in their tiny little library inside this massive house he's in, but he needed to be capable of motion. That's why he mustered all of his free time into practicing how to stand. It proved too much for his legs, so as humiliating as it was, he had no choice but to crawl. After days of practicing without his parents noticing, he was finally able to stand. Although, he was discovered just now.

"Our son is a genius!"

He could hear their "discreet" giggling from the door. He hated how they keep looking down on him with their ridiculous height, how they keep sexually harassing him by stripping him out of his will and shoving breasts in his mouth forcibly. He hated all about it. Most importantly, he hated his own body.

Why? Because he got reincarnated into the race that he despises the most - Humanity.

I need to stay low for now. They saw me crawl, but I'll never let them see me read books.

~4 years later~

"He still can't talk, and he's already 4 years old~" Aizen could hear the troubles of his mother. Earlier, he was just consulted by the doctor if he had any problems. The truth of the matter is, he could speak, he just wouldn't.

"But he's already 4 years old! There must be something wrong with him! I'm scared-"

"Hey honey! Calm down! He might hear us... it won't be good."

"... I know. I'm just scared."

After 3 more hours, his mother came to his room with swollen eyes and slight sniffles. She went up to him and turned the lights off. After a tight hug, by his mother and somewhat of a bitter farewell, she tucked her child to bed. When he heard the door close, he stood right back up.

"... Ugh, finally." he still hates their kisses, but he has no choice.

It's been 4 years, and Aizen can already cast magic. He was able to learn by reading books in their tiny library. It was surprising how there were books about Magic there, but he didn't think much of it.

As he spread his palms, a small flame came out of it. This was tremendously impressive, because not only is the usual age where one can use magic is 12, but also because usually there would be a chant that's 4 sentences long, yet he merely spread his palms and the spell was invoked. However, this time he wants to try it out.

There was one thing he noticed about Magic. Magic is about forming a connection with the world's concepts, such as the concept of Flame, the concept of Ice, the concept of Darkness, the concept of Light, etc. They are concepts that respond to a Magician's plea, which is the chant. Basically, each and every magician borrows power from those concepts in order to be able to invoke spells.

Then, he had a brilliant idea. What if he borrows power... from himself? Technically, "Demon King Mammon" is an abstract concept, he is actually the concept of Despair and Avarice. What if... what if he borrows power from that?

He must try it out, but he can't right now.

What he's actually trying out right now is Teleportation magic. If he masters teleportation, then it would be extremely useful since he wants to go to the town library but couldn't because his parents wouldn't permit him. So, he figured that he should take matters into his own hands.

To enable teleportation, he must plead to the concept of space. This is hard because unlike the other concepts, this is the first time that he would establish a connection with it. They're practically strangers to each other, while the other concepts are somewhat of an acquaintance. Still, he is the Demon King Mammon, what could possibly go wrong?

Thou who granted many, I plead upon thee

Bless me thy presence, Bless mine plea

Mine plea is humble, give thy strength to me

So I could traverse these lands unshackled and free

Teleportation!

~POOF!~

He vanished almost instantly, and the next thing he saw was some tall trees and complete darkness. Since he's still a child, his eyesight was good and could somehow see in this dark forest.

"Where am I?" he asked himself. This was the first time that he had gone out of the house. Compared to that place, this place is...

"Cold." he shivers. Right away, he remembered the warm bosom of his mother that he oh-so-hates but immediately shook his head to dismiss the matter. The Great Mammon yearning for breasts? Over his dead body.

Well... maybe just a little. W-wait no! They're evil! Those lot... they're all evil. - he's having a self-crisis.

However, the true crisis would soon appear before him. All of a sudden, he was surrounded by glowing red eyes in the darkness. Despite his good eyesight, he was unable to make out of the creatures. Then, the thick clouds that were blocking the moonlight seemingly stepped aside for a moment just for him-

AWOOO!

A sharp set of fangs, grey fur, and over 30 of them snarling nastily at him after the symphony of howls. Greymanes3.

Without warning, the first wolf pounced at him right away, but Aizen was able to dodge. Come to think of it, this is his chance to test the combat skills that he has nurtured for 4 years. With boldness and bravery, Aizen stood gallantly amidst the danger that befell him. Then, with the flame he invoked in his palm, he shot a ball of fire towards the wolf.

"Yes! This is my power!" he cheered. It was one wolf down and just 29 to go-

Except it wasn't. To his surprise, the wolf evaded his ball of fire. He was gonna cast another one but his vision started to get blurry, his head started to feel dizzy. He forgot something important, his body, which is that of a child, has little energy. He isn't all-powerful and with infinite amounts of energy like he was before.

Communicating with concepts takes a lot of vigor, especially when it comes to strong concepts such as Space. However, Aizen was oblivious of this. The book he's read was but a beginner's book. It was just meant to introduce a person to the world of magic, not to teach them complicated techniques such as fireball and teleportation. He refused to believe it, but...

He messed up.

And for the first time in a long time, he felt that feeling.

Fear.

He never expected anyone to come to his aid, but then he came. His father, Jonathan Frost.

With a single sweep of his sword, he killed 10 wolves and scared the whole pack away.

"That was close... Now back to you, WHAT DID YOU-"

His father stopped speaking any further. He was mad, but his wrath was washed away by what he saw. It was his son, Aizen, cowering behind a tree. It wasn't because he was frightened of the wolves, Aizen is much tougher than that. It was because of his own father.

But then, how exactly is the great Mammon afraid, and of his own parents no less?

First, we must go back all the way, before his reincarnation, before he was crowned, even before his birth.
