"Congrats on your second book's launch. I love the story and hope that it becomes a hit."
Everyone was wishing Sia with bouquets, praises and well wishes, but she was waiting for something else.
Suddenly a closed fist came in front of Sia's eyes and with that closed fist came what she was waiting for. It was her sister Isha with her favorite chocolates. With a huge smile, Sia turned around and gave Isha a warm tight hug.
"You are late. And you are alone? Where is he?" Sia asked angrily.
"He's busy. But don't worry he'll be here before your narration starts." Isha replied.
" By the way, I read your story. Is it what I think it is? No, right?" Isha asked curiously.
" How can it be? This story has a happy ending, that doesn't."
By saying this she changed the topic and went to attend to other guests. After some time when the audience was ready for narration, Sia entered the stage and began her book's narration.
"...how do you know I'm not the one for you?"
With this line said, her eyes went up in the public and the next moment her lips froze as her eyes noticed someone familiar.
Seeing that person, Sia went in the memories of 4 years back, when she was happy, innocent, naive.
On the first day of 2018. Everyone was happy and cheerful. Others were celebrating New Year, but there was Sia busy with her work, eyes stuck on the desktop, papers lying around and news flashing on TV.
While doing her pending job, she read the title flashing on Tv.
"Best businessmen award for this year goes to S Corporate, all thanks to Vice President Danta S."
Danta was the sole heir to the biggest conglomerate family in the country, S Corporate. He was the Vice President of the company. Famous for his cold attitude, great leadership, ambitious nature and business mind. There were rumours around him that he could crack any deal in the world with his skills. He was also known in the area for his unforgettable beauty.
Complexion like a sunset on mountains, black thick hair like waves of sea, eyes just like the deep empty well, personality that could tempt anyone.
Unaware of her fate Sia turned the Tv off and went to sleep. As if this sleep was to prepare her for an upcoming change, a cold breeze from the windows wished her "Good night."
