The past few weeks had been hell for Chase since rejecting the old guard's proposal along with the advances from others. As his spirit dampened, he was really trying to establish whether this punishment was all worth it. The guards had ensured that Chase no longer had access to food, his training time was often interrupted, he was battling insomnia along with regular beatings from the guards. Chase was powerless, he knew that if he fought back then his sentence would be increased and he would never get out of this shithole. There had to be another way he thought to himself continuously. One thought would always persist on entering his head every time without fail.
Escape.
The issue was that Chase could never escape just by himself. He would need help from others. He just didn't know how to approach Wiz about this. Wiz and the boys had been witness to the atrocities thrown Chase's way these past few weeks and were often caught up in this themselves. It was a long shot trying to get others on side for his plan but it was a long shot he needed to take.
Several days had already passed by since Chase's last full meal. His belly was rumbling as he made his way to the canteen and picked up his daily serving of gruel. He nervously made his way to the table as he was avoiding any contact with the guards and sat down alongside Wiz and the boys. Interestingly, inmate 002 Chase's cellmate was sat by himself at the end of the table enjoying his own company as always. No one had still ever heard this guy speak but knew he could eat a whole ton of food and had a crazy level of strength.
'pfffff' Chase puffed a sigh of relief as this was the first time he had even made it to the dinner table with any food for days.
"Tough week buddy?" Wiz sympathized.
"Well its about to get tougher" chuckled one of the prison guards as he threw both Chase's and Wiz's food on to the floor.
"Go on… Eat it! Eat it off the floor like the dog you are".
The boys kept their head down and didn't react. They knew that was what the guard wanted. A reaction from the boys to punish them even further.
"That's enough… we need to get out of here" Chase finally presented his idea of escaping to the boys.
The table burst out in laughter.
"You cant be serious right?"
Chase refused to join in with the laughing and had a serious look on his face that many of them had never seen before.
"Right?" the boys repeated as they came to the sudden realization that Chase was not playing around. He was deadly serious.
"Its our only option before we end up getting ourselves seriously hurt or even killed" was the reply from Chase as he finally replied once the boys laughter had quieted down.
"No way… its impossible! We will get into even more trouble" as Rocky was the first to reject Chase's plan.
Apollo and Drew soon followed in Rocky's footsteps as per usual and had no willingness to be involved in such a ludicrous plan. The boys had bonded over the past month or so inside of the prison but they were not willing to put themselves at risk for someone they had not known for too long.
It was just Wiz left now. Chase knew deep down that Wiz was the only person who might even consider his proposal. There brotherhood had grew ever stronger whilst being locked up and they both understood that they would have each other's back regardless of the situation.
"Brothers for life right? " Wiz offered his fist out for a bump with Chase.
"So what batshit crazy plan have you got in store then Houdini?" Wiz cautiously asked.
The plan was batshit crazy. Chase had been studying the movement of the prison guards for days and realized that they were very consistent with their reactions and movement patterns. Eight guards would be positioned around the canteen at all times during lunch and dinner. Therefore, to get access out of the canteen area into the guards free space they would need one of the guards key passes and for them all to be simultaneously distracted. But how to cause a big enough distraction to accompany eight guards was the real question. With only Chase and Wiz on board with the plan they knew that there presence alone was not enough.
"Leave that to me" a deep husky voice situated at the end of the table responded after overhearing Chase's plan. It was inmate 002 Chase's cellmate. He was starting to make a habit of coming to Chase's aid whenever he needed it most. He had bared witness to the relentless bullying from the guards onto Chase and furthermore, due to this they had been keeping him awake and affecting his sleep in the process. They were both grateful for the help and was unsure whether it was done out of friendship or just wanting peace and quiet back into his life. Never the less, they were not about to turn down his help.
"I will use my speed to get one of the key passes from a guard once they are distracted" Wiz suggested as the plan was starting to gain momentum.
Once the guards were distracted and the security door was clear, the guard's locker room which was positioned just through the door would be the next target. Chase knew that guards would get changed in and out of uniform there as he often saw them leaving in their casual wear clothes rather prison uniform. They would need to get their fast and get changed into some uniform without being noticed. This shouldn't be too much of a problem for Chase and Wiz due to their specialized skills of agility and speed. Now was the time to put them to good use.
Then next was the most risky and dangerous part of the plan. Both Chase and Wiz would simply walk out of the prison doors undetected and disguised by the uniform that they would of stolen. Chase knew that there would be further guards and security checkpoints towards the exit as he remembered as much on the day he arrived at the prison. This was the only time he had seen the entrance to the prison and it was guarded by a few guards on that occasion. The risks were high as if they were to get caught, life would not be pretty. But the rewards were even higher if this was to be a success as their freedom and safety meant so much more. The boys knew that they were putting it all on the line but they felt as if they had no choice.
