"Now did you learn your lesson?" Alden's mother said
"Yes..." Alden said dispiritedly looking bored
"Why do I even need to learn about this trainer stuff anyway" Alden complained
Aldens mother only sighed and said "I've said it countless times you learn this stuff because it is important for the time of your departure
"But this is boring!!! Right shroom?" Alden said glancing towards Shroom
"Shroom" Shroom shaked his head left and right saying no to Alden's question
"Look Shroom disagrees with you" Alden's mother said pointing at Shroom
'traitor' Alden glared at Shroom
"Anyway were going to Rustorbo tomorrow so sleep early" Alden's mother said getting up from her seat
"Okay..." Alden said obediently not caring because he finally escaped this lesson
"Lets go Shroom!" Said Alden picking up shroom and dashing toward his room leaving the room's door left open
"Sigh this kid" Aldens mother sighed and closed the door
Time skip for one night
"Young master wake up its morning!" Yelled Anna knocking on the door
"Yeesss~" Alden said feeling groggy
"Oh you're already awake Shroom" Alden said to the mushroom which only nods his head
Alden then pats Shroom's head and get out of bed then Alden opens the door letting Anna in
"I've heated up the bath young master heres your towel" Anna said giving the towel to Alden
Alden took it and head for the bath to wash after a while he got out dripping wet with a towel covering his body
"Your clothes young master" a deep sounding voice said to Alden
"Thanks Zach" Alden replies
"No problem"
Alden changed his clothes and goes to the kitchen and his eyes greeted him with his mother and Shroom eating breakfast
"Good morning Alden did you sleep welll?" Alden's mother asked Alden
"Yep" Alden replied and sit down and eat after a while he finished up
Alden then plays with Shroom for a while then his mother called him
"Let's go Alden"
"Okay!" Alden said picking up shroom
"Please get in young master" Zach said as he opens the door of a car
Alden gets in and the door closed as he sits
The car starts up and drives to Rustorbo city as evidence to the sign that says 'Rustorbo this way'
After a couple of minutes they arrived at the city
Alden looked around the place drawing his attention to the pokemon feasting on a moldy bread
Alden shoo the pokemon away from the moldy bread and gave it a snack he hid away on his pocket
Alden and his mother seemingly walked aimlessly and after a while Alden gets bored
"Where are we going? dont tell me we're lost" Alden questioned
"Dont worry were not Lost look were here" Alden's mother said walking up to a giant door
The door automatically opened letting the two of them in
"Woah..." Alden said surprised by this magic and his mother chuckled at his expression
"Welcome to Rustorbo department store how can I help you with?" A girl in a neat uniform greeted them both
"Hello were looking for a pokedex and a pokeball" Alden's mother said to the girl
"Right this way" The girl leads them to the items
Alden looks around curiosity in his eyes spotting things he didn't know existed while passing by a few customers dressed in survival gear
"Here we are" the girl said to them and leaves
"Look they sell different types of pokeball!" Alden's mother pointed out to Alden
Alden looks toward Shroom noticing its gaze fixated towards a black,red and gold colored pokeball
"I see I guess I'll pick this one" Alden said picking the pokeball Shroom has been eyeing
Alden also picked a green colored pokedex they then headed towards the counter and paid for the stuff
"Alright here you go" Alden's mother handed him the things and said
"Dont lose it ok" Alden nods
Alden examined the pokedex and took a picture of Shroom who was alongside them
[Shroomish a Grass type Pokémon also known as the Mushroom Pokémon.] a robotic voice sounded out
"It talks!?" Alden said shaking the pokedex to see if there's a person inside
"Dont break it Alden there's no person inside" Aldens mother said laughing a little making Alden pout
"Look Shroom it's you" Alden showed the pokedex to Shroom making the said mushroom surprise to see its face
"Oh right here" Alden showed the pokeball to Shroom almost forgetting it
"Would you be my pokemon?" Alden asked Shroom
"Shroomish!" The mushroom huffs and head bumps the pokeball cathing itself
the pokeball shakes left and right and a emitting a red light and a couple of seconds later it shines indicating it got caught
Alden released Shroom and said "From here onwards were partners!"
