Chapter 28 - Storytelling in The Library

"It turns out that you came too Asih, let's sit down!"

"Thank you." Asih sat among them.

His back was to the librarian who was sitting near the doorway and could still see their way.

"I brought snacks for you. Not that I'm condescending, but just take this as a sign of introduction." Asih keeps the plastic on the table and takes it out one by one.

Each of them got a cold drink with a different taste, each one brown bread, and also fried bananas that Asih kept in the middle.

"Asih, you don't have to bother," said Hasan looking uneasy.

Fira turned to Hasan, her face was not as surprised as before. There is a look that may seem unexpected with Asih's still kind attitude to her when Fira treats Asih harshly.

If that person is not as sincere and strong as Asih, maybe they will stay away from Fira and give Fira a snack that has a burning feeling of revenge.

Asih smiled at Fira, indicating that she should immediately eat her snacks.

Hasan and Asih are already chewing, while Fira still looks thoughtful.

"Come on, Fira. Eaten! I purposely bought this for you. Sorry if it's just-"

"You shouldn't bother, Asih," Fira interrupted.

Hasan and Asih were also surprised, Fira's tone just now was really soft. Not haphazard like school thugs. Which usually comes out of the mouth of a FIra.

Did Fira get sick? Asih even thought that he didn't think so.

Weird, right?

But Hasan smiled. He knows that Fira is now starting to accept Asih.

It wasn't because Asih had given him snacks, it must have been because of Asih's persistence in continuing to do good to his seatmates.

"I don't bother, Fir." Asih tried to explain his sincere intentions.

"I'm sorry Asih," said Fira, she then burst into tears. Hasan immediately rubbed his back.

Asih poked at Hasan, he was very confused. Until the story of Fira's past spills out.

She told him everything and Hasan confirmed. From being the subject of bullying, orders, and various unpleasant things he received until everyone was surprised by Fira's courage against Bella with her martial arts moves.

Fira also dares to fight against anyone who is condescending. Granted, it made everyone fear him, but still, things wouldn't turn white.

Fira is getting shunned by everyone, wants her to be a coward, wants her to be a brave person anyway.

No one wanted to be friends with him because the system of bullying was so entrenched in the classroom.

Bullying of the weak is common. It's a different story with Hasan, he's a smart kid.

However, Hasan's intelligence is not appreciated by his classmates because Hasan is an ordinary person.

He is not the son of a rich man, just like Fira. So, after getting a lot of innuendo… Hasan became more silent and didn't show his intelligence in class.

He did not dare to raise his hand, did not dare to present a good presentation, and also did not dare to fill in the answers in front of the blackboard unless the teacher told him to.

As a result of being exiled, both of them feel that they share the same fate, Hasan and Fira become closer because they are people who rarely go to the canteen and often spend time in class and also in the library.

Asih hugs Fira, but not with Hasan because Hasan is a boy and he doesn't cry either.

"If you want to cry, just spill it," said Asih.

Hasan was surprised, Asih did not forbid Fira to cry but instead she sincerely became his friend's support to shed the pain he had been feeling, at first Hasan was the only listener and friend to talk to. Now, Asih is a part of them.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean Asih. I don't hate you, I just don't want you to be exiled if you're friends with me Asih. Sorry." Fira is very sorry.

Asih also wipes Fira's tears with a shady smile so that her friend doesn't keep blaming himself.

Asih already knew that Fira had no intention of staying away from Asih like yesterday. He just wanted Asih to mingle with the others so that Asih would not be shunned like the fate that befell Fira and Hasan, who had been friends for almost two years.

It's okay both of you, it's like a pair of lovers.

"It's okay," Asih laughed and Hasan followed.

Fira's face is so cute when she cries. Like a confused child left by his mother in the market.

How many cases of small children are left by their parents in crowded places? Yes, Fira's expression looks like that, full of confusion while crying.

It's just that no one will leave Fira because now her friend has grown to one with Asih.

Hasan seems to be the only Arjuna who sings, 'It's good in your heart, if you have two wives.'

It's not just an image, Hasan actually sings like that while biting a fried banana until he realizes that it wasn't the act of a student.

"Eh, I forgot, chew the food first," said Hasan, who was singing while demonstrating playing guitar with his imaginary visualization.

When Asih and Hasan laughed, Fira saw the two of them like a slow motion video being played. Fira watched them very carefully, this was the first time Hasan looked cheerful.

Not usually. Fira, who a few minutes ago had accepted Asih join, seemed as if she suddenly changed her mind at once but she didn't express her discomfort seeing Hasan's changed behavior.

Hasan is so welcome to Asih, could it be them? if so, there would be no possibility of Fira being Hasan's lover, right? Men will definitely choose more beautiful women.

Suddenly, Hasan stopped laughing. Fira's thoughts were shifted to the figure of a man behind Asih.

Asih poked Hasan and Fira, as if asking, 'what's wrong?' until the sound was heard.

"Shit!" call someone behind Asih.

A familiar voice to his ears. Seeing the frightened expressions on Fira and Hasan's faces, Asih is increasingly convinced that the person behind her is…."

Ash looked back.

"Let's go to class, do you really want to be the new kid who's late for class?" Bara asked with a glance at Asih as if he was drunk, but he wasn't.

It was just a look of pretending to pay attention to Asih. What did he say? Does he care about Asih's reputation as a newbie here? Asih didn't hear wrong, right? No, he didn't hear wrong.

"Mmm, I'm going to class huh. Fira, Hasan," Asih said goodbye, he looked very embarrassed.

He was like being treated like a Kindergarten-age child, who had to be ordered and intimidated like that.

Hasan and Fira nodded, not because they didn't want to leave the library. They will also follow after Bara and Asih go first.

Asih stood up, still smiling awkwardly at the two of them. Bara, who felt Asih's movements were too slow, immediately pulled Asih's wrist back for the umpteenth time.

Pulled by Bara, Asih was still able to smack his two friends. They then passed several students who were also still at home there, and of course they also passed the library guards.

"I go, Miss Rebeca." Bara bid farewell to him with a smile.

The young guard also replied, and looked in amazement, why was Asih being pulled by Bara forcibly?

Asih also did not forget to smile at the guard, even though his smile was only fleeting. Bara so quickly took him away.

"What are you doing, being a new kid is nagging," Bara chirped as she continued to tug at Asih at the speed of her steps after she managed to get out of the library.

Asih is like being arrested by a policeman.

Asih was silent, her eyes widened in disapproval. So, how come your stepdaughter is controlling, right? As if he was the father of Asih.

"Hey, can you hear me?" Bara asked again and pulled Asih's hand forward. They stopped halfway.

Asih replied, "So why? Wrong?"
