"Have you figured it out? My guess was wrong."Says Jessica.
Kelvin can't figure out what that riddle would be.
There is something I seek.
While it is bound, it chooses kings and peasants.
When it is freed, it foretells war or woe.
While it is bound, it propels men's lusts and furies.
When it is freed, it tumbles, falls, and fades.
While it is bound, life will often thrive.
When it is freed, death will often follow.
What do I seek?
Kelvin paces back and forth until they hear sounds upstairs.
"What was that?"
"I have no idea. Wait here. I will go check."
"No, you can't. What if those soldiers come back?"
"Do you think they will come back?"
"They didn't seem to convince."
Kelvin arrives upstairs and closes the basement door covering it with the mat. The door is open. He grabs a knife from the kitchen, holding it behind his back.
"Is anyone here?"
There is no answer as he paces quietly through the house.
He notices a wolf in the kitchen as it turns around.
