Heading back to the apartment, Julia couldn't help but wonder how many women had died being vulnerable and trusting people like John.
When Julia arrived at the room door, she heard a lady scream from the bar. They had probably discovered his body.
Julia had unlocked the door and walked over to the suitcase as she changed back into her tracksuit.
She then woke Kathy up, "honey, we have to leave." Kathy rubbed her eyes, half asleep. As she stretched, "mom, it's still dark. Why are we leaving."
"Those guys from earlier, they are bad guys, and they will come back. Mommy, don't want them to hurt you."
Kathy smiled, "mommy, you are safe, do not worry."
"I am worried about you, honey."
Kathy knew her mother was mortal, so if those guys did come back, she might not be able to protect her mom.
She climbed off the bed and got dressed as the two packed their bags and left the room without being seen.
"Mom, where will we be sleeping this evening?"
