"Kathy what are doing honey?"
Kathy has a stick in her hand drawing a diagram on the sand. "Nothing Mom."
We need to get home the sun has set.
"Mom we must go meet the others."
"What are you talking about honey?"
"They are waiting for us mom."
"Who is waiting for us, it is late."
"Are we going back to that place where the horses are?"
"Honey it is temporarily till we find a permanent solution."
Kathy walks with her mom up the dark road, "Kelvin , you need to come get us."
"Who are you talking to, honey?"
Kathy looks up at her mom, "just a friend."
Not thinking much of it Julia holds her daughters hand as they enter the barn.
"I don't want to sleep again here tonight mom."
"It is only for now till we find a safer place, remember mommy told you bad people would be after you?"
"No one can touch us mom."
"You are so brave mommy is proud of you."
Julia never knew her daughter is more than capable of keeping them safe.
"Why can't we switch on the light?"
