Neo placed his right hand on his car door and pulled it open and smiled and then looked sad. "You will miss the world's fun Mandolin, women—everything. Is Demora Tala aware of this sudden change?" He lowered his voice as his eyes caught those of Mandolin again.
Seconds later, when he didn't get a reply, he shuddered and entered his Jeep "I guess you are in for a real big trouble Mandolin—your church was founded by his powers. The blood gave you an incredible number. I only wonder how you will go about everything. Everything seems sinking now, right?"
As he started his engine, Pastor Mandolin walked closer, "You still have not told me why you came around?"
Neo stared at him and cheered himself up. "Yes it is personal to me but if you insist I am searching for my girlfriend, Sonita. Some persons told me she had a car accident a few months ago and have since been buried. Others say, they still see her around—I am kind of confuse you know. I want to check on his parent and know the true story—so that's why I came back from the State. That's her picture, isn't she beautiful?"
Pastor Mandolin stared at it for a while, nodded and then wheeled around and started for his Jeep.
Neo watched him walked away in a manner he didn't expect or liked. He felt something was damn wrong with Mandolin. It was not just Jesus Christ stuff but it looks like he has gone nut, but how?
When he heard him spoke again was when his engine roared "Have a nice day Neo, Jesus Christ loves you. Search for him and you will find him. He is nearer to you than you think. He is watching you, Neo."
Neo was about to make a reply but simply watched him drove away.
"You have gone mad Pastor Mandolin—madman now you are," he whispered.
Hissing loudly, he pressed down on his accelerator and drove in the opposite direction, leaving a great cloud of dust behind.
"I see the tail of the cobra have been touched and if it doesn't bite and discharge its venom now there lies its folly." The voice of Demora Tala filled the air, piercing far into the thick forest that surrounds his little hut.
He wasn't sitting down. He has been busy walking around in his hut.
A hut that looks tiny from outside but within it can sit a hundred persons.
What wonders Idris Sanligan thought as he watched him react to what he came to tell him, "Bread and life hell church was built by my powers. I only told him to replace the hell in that name with the bible to make it sound attractive but I wonder why he is changing things—we must act fast—"
He stopped talking when he heard the voice of Dayan Huntre for the first time since they entered his hut. "I think he got some other powers walking in him. I think he has found him and—"
"Nobody finds him in the dark!" Demora Tala didn't let him finish. "Never, he is possessed with the seven demons of the miles and there is absolutely no way he can escape their chains." He laughed and then shifted his eyes to Idris Sanligan as if he wanted some reassurance.
When he noticed he nodded, he continued. "The seven demons of miles are to deceive him and make him enslave the people in his church, as long as they are fed with lies they are in captivity bound unto death in hell—darkness. They will swim until death eternity." He laughed again, this time louder.
Idris Sanligan stared at Dayan Huntre and they both fixed their eyes on Demora Tala for a long time.
Minutes later, Demora Tala uncovered a crystal ball and gazed into it. He screamed, "No, they are gone—gone, how?"
"What? What has gone?" Idris Sanligan and Dayan both asked staring into the crystal ball.
Their hearts were beating faster and their eyes looking around as though sensing danger. They stood up as they repeat the question. "What? What has gone?"
"The seven demons of miles are no more in his body. They have been bound—let me see where. Oh, in the outer darkness—how? Impossible!" He screamed as his eyes bore into the crystal ball once more.
As his fingers with long nails turn the crystal ball around, his screams increased, "I can see Mandolin—he is free. There is a mark on his forehead—like the blood of—" His voice trailed as his eyes narrowed.
"Jesus Christ you mean to say." Idris finished for him and suddenly the hut quaked. The boiling drums containing human heads opened and the heads stood out crying. Snakes bound loosen and the fire burning in the altar of blaze quenched mysteriously.
"Why—why did you? Don't you ever mention that name here again" Demora's voice echoed. "Why did you call that name—why?" His hands squeezed the air above him as he ran around the hut calling out the witches of the night to his rescue and suddenly they appeared and calmness returned.
"Mandolin is setting the people free and must be stopped." He said.
"How can that be?" Idris Sanligan asked, still wondering how that name disorganized everything in the hut like a piece of cake.
His lips moved for a while and then he asked again, this time with caution. "Mandolin is mere mortal, he can be stopped—what do we do? There are secrets to be kept and souls to be bound—what do we do?"
Demora rushed back to the crystal ball, touched it calmly and chanted some incantation. "Sonita—yes I heard a voice—Sonita, she must go and discover the power he uses. Only a woman can bring him down and then we crush him—dead."
"What did you say, Sonita?" Dayan Huntre asked. "Who is she?" he stared into the eyes of Demora Tala.
"She was the lady we took her blood in that ghastly accident, her beautiful body can be used—don't worry. I will do the preparation—"
"But—"
"You just shut up" Demora Tala's jaw tightened. "You just back out and let Sonita handle this."
Idris and Dayan stood up and started for home through the dark evil forest and immediately they got to the rock of Lasana as Demora told them, they hit it and suddenly disappeared.
"He can't stop the work of darkness—he can't" Demora voice echoed far into the forest as he straightens up ready for a sleepless night.
Minutes later, he calms down as his thoughts flew into memories...
The creeks of bone still have unbroken skeletons and the realm of miles still have unchained demons that still wander around seeking for bodies to live in.
The creek of shadows is still a den of many free dangerous evil spirits my father once told me about. He spoke to himself quietly as he resumed his walk down memory lane.
"My son the realm of the miles is wide but the demons love incarnation. But you must be careful with the fusion. It is magical, but can be done with the strongest of all incarnations from the dark realm of voodoo—when the line in the east crosses the moon as the clock struck 1 pm you are ready to go but—"
Come on, but what?
He finds his thought searching but the word of his father was as good as embarking on the mysterious formation of all time.
He stood up calmly from his thoughts and walked towards the crystal ball now covered with smoke snaking up into the top of the roof and filling the atmosphere around. He peered into the crystal ball and saw—
His hands robbed the ball closely and suddenly saw Sonita—she looks like the most beautiful girl she has ever seen. She stood naked and that got his attention the more.
Suddenly, his thought slipped and got frozen temporarily.
Seconds later, he woke up as his eyes took a brightness form, he knew what he needed is the body of Sonita and then when the spirit of miles takes possession, she can be used for the most dreadful of the mission.
And as his mind run into how to begin the process. The side of his lips picked up a disgusting smile.
Minutes later, he burst into laughter and as his laughter echoed into the night his hand started working.
The fusion begins—working to create the worst evil his imagination would bring out of the dark—the fusion of the three demons of miles and Sonita, his beautiful Queen.
And a few hours later, Sonita emerged out of the pot and ready for her mission.
