"Director, here are the documents for tomorrow's meeting," said Larissa, handing a file folder onto Evander's desk.
"If I have nothing else to do, I'll be going home now," he continued, taking a few steps back from the table in front of him.
"Wait!" Evander immediately stopped Larissa who was just about to turn and leave the room.
He stood up and walked over to the secretary in front of him. When he was about to grab her hand, Larissa immediately brushed it off and walked away. It seemed the woman didn't want to be touched and was close to Evander.
"I know yesterday's troubles must have made you feel uncomfortable now. But can you just not walk away like that? Can't we just act like we were before?" said Evander.
Because of Evander's expression of love yesterday, that's why Larissa is so distant from him now. Like this is more painful than being rejected by his love feelings.
