Arlo watched on guard while the undead soldiers decimated the retreating soldiers.
Shrieks of pain and agony echoed through the plains.
Arlo and his army were surrounded by the other undead. They could be considered as an island in the middle of the ocean.
The other undead were much worse equipped than his. There were ghouls and zombies in the army.
Zombies and ghouls were a good addition to a necromancer's army. They carried diseases with their lifeless flesh.
Although Arlo did not recruit any of them he planned to in the future.
They waited for the elf necromancer to arrive.
While waiting Arlo grabbed one of the long barreled sticks that the soldiers called rifles.
This one seemed to be loaded. İf Arlo could understand how the mechanism worked he might wield both the destructive power of the rifles with his ever growing army.
He gave the rifle to one of his skeletons.
'Use it if we get into something' he commanded.
Suddenly another skeleton that seemed to belong to a troll approached them through the other undead.
"The lord is waiting for your leader." İt growled through its teeth.
Arlo and his army walked towards a horse cart. İt had grim blue lights coming out of it.
The cart was seemingly old but because of the golden gild it seemed like it belonged to royalty.
Suddenly a hand that resembled a claw stuck out of the cart. A mummified corpse walked out of the golden cart. Arlo wondered if the man was a puppet or if it was alive. He wanted his flesh body back, it was irritating to watch.
The elf had no hair, his skin had turned black after centuries worth of rituals and spells to maintain life.
"How interesting…" The elf seemed to be lost in thoughts.
"How could a mere skeleton lead undead?" He asked
"Are you perhaps a lich like myself?" The old elf who happened to be a lich guessed.
"No. İ am not." Arlo answered.
He had an advantage in this situation. Even though he was outnumbered and even though he was a mere skeleton.
The elf was a simple undead. And undead could be raised or controlled with fog.
Arlo reached into the artifact that had fused with his skull. İt contained countless souls he had collected.
"Oh no you dont." The elf said as his skin shined with magic.
