The helicopters took them to the state of Virginia, a state somewhere between the yellow and brown ratings. A land that has a mixture of both wolf and tiger threat level mutated beasts. It is overrun by mutated beasts and for a while now a lot of resources have been put into clearing out a good number of mutated beasts so that the state can become habitable again.
The team was flown directly to the military base there but on their way, Alex observed a lot in silence and frowned. After attaining his awakening, Alex's sense of danger rose considerably. Apart from the mutated beasts below, he could feel a greater threat of danger from the vegetation below.
"These plants are alive?" Alex's words after a long moment of silence drew everyone's attention.
They all looked outside their windows but they couldn't notice anything odd about those plants. Everything still felt normal to them.
