The old man then guided Aaron into a dark corner...he then looked here and there on a bookshelf as if trying to find something...
After looking for a while he then pulled a red coloured book slightly and diagonally backwards...
*Click-Clack*
A sound of mechanical working machines came from the bookshelf.
*Shhhh*
Suddenly the whole bookshelf moved to the right side opening a ladder passageway downwards.
"You will find every book you need there..." He said as he pointed his finger towards the ladders.
"But...what if you kidnapped me...?" Aaron said with a serious gaze.
"Then get out of the shop..."
"I am going..."
Aaron moved downwards with a candle holder in his hands...
After going down the ladders for 10 minutes he reached a hall full of bookshelfs...
"It's like this place is not used for years..."
Spider webs are all over the room and bookshelfs.
*Cough-Cough*
Aaron cleared one of the bookshelf as he removed spider webs from it and pulled out a book with title...'Working of the spells.'
He than pulled out another book with the same title.
What the...this whole shelf is full of one book's copies.
I have to hurry and go back... it's been 10 minutes already I think.
After a while Aaron walked out of the hall and entered the store from the ladder passageway.
"Oh...you are back...did you find what you were looking for ?" The old man said.
"Oh..yes..I want these books what's the total amount for them..?"
"Hmm let me see...'Working of spells'...'Runes and Enchanting'...'Magic with swords'...and 'Farming with mana'....just these."
"Yeah.."
"Take them for free..I don't need them."
"What ? but you are running a book store...why are you not charging me."
"Because those books are useless for me and I am going to burn them anyway so take them and go way now...shu-shu."
"But..?"
"No buts...if you want something else than I can charge you for that item...if you want to get charged that much."
"Oh than I want 3 pens and 2 notebooks too.."
After listening to him the old man started taking out some pens and notebooks...
"Why are there so many copies of this book down there..?" Aaron asked with a curious face.
After a minute of silence the old man finally spoke...
"When I opened this store...I hoped that the upcoming generation will develope and modify magic in order to change the future...so I ordered 100 copies of these 4 books.
But after 1 month only two copies got sold... Then one day I asked a young man that why is not anyone interested in these books...do you know what he said ?"
"What..?"
"He told me that why would anyone try to think about the working of spells...when they only have to learn the magic circle desings to perform the spells.
He said who wants to learn about the historic runes and enchantments on weapons when they can easily get it done by the blacksmiths for some money.
He said that it is impossible to use sword with magic all the books that are written about 'magic and swords' are nothing more than myths and lies.
Lastly he told me that if you are a mage then why would you do farming...you can enjoy more perks by joining the imperial army of the Kingdom."
Aaron then looked at the old man who is looking down with a sad expression on his face.... disappointment and despair covered his heart.
"They will be 3 silvers..." He said as he gave Aaron 2 notebooks and one pen.
"Ah...yes here..."
After that Aaron took everything and started to leave the shop as he turned back and said...
"Hey old man..."
"Hmmm...?"
"Don't worry future will change..." Aaron said with a smile and confidential gaze.
The shopkeeper got shocked as he saw the confidence in Aaron's eyes.
"Ah...yes I hope so too." He said in a haze.
"Then bye...until next time."
Aaron leaves the shop as he starts to find the meat shop but suddenly the shopkeeper came to him as he shouted his name...
"Hey boy...stop."
"Hmmm... what's wrong old man what happened ?"
"Here have this..."
The old man gave Aaron a purple scroll with golden roller.
"What is this...?"
"It's a recommendation letter for the academy of Albania...with this you can get in the academy by only passing the entrance exam."
Oh my god is this a hidden quest or something he gave me such a precious scroll for free. Academy of albania is no joke after all...only the once with high background can study in it.
This old man is no joke...
"If anyone asks for who gave you this...say that Professor Rage gave it to me...okay."
"Yes.."
"Goodbye and I know you can do it..." The old man tapped his shoulder and leaved the place.
'I think future has a hope now'...old man thought to himself as he smiled lightly.
After that Aaron went to a meat shop and saw a bald and muscled man covered in blood.
" What do you want kid..?" He asked Aaron.
"I want to know the price of magical beast's meat"
"Go and check that list..." He said as he pointed towards the list stick on the wall with a pin.
Aaron looked at the list...
