Chapter 3 - Wicked luck

So, as I woke up I tried to meditate, and concentrated on whether I got a good ability or not. And...

existence type: NPC

lvl:3/10 (5/400xp)

Skills: Echolocation, Fly, Player essence, Esgene Mutation

You Awakened your Esp, but will this be your personal peak, or is it just the beginning?

And I screamed like hell came upon the Cave.

What the fuck do they think I am? I mean, I now have Awakened as an esper, only to awaken the low class esper ability of slowly adapting to changes?

No wait, I have SSS+ Talent, that reminds me of a guy in my Last Live who had Body hardening , a 08/15 weak ability with S+ talent, He was a fricken god as a tank.

and let me use inspect on it

Ok, now... WTF

[Esgene Mutation]

[Those with this ability will have A chance by every encounter with danger or Mutation to learn a ability to fight or controle the danger or Mutation]

Sooo... Plot Armor? I remember a high Luck skill called Plot Armor that made it easier to survive dangerous situations... I am verry interested to what it will lead, but I first need to get in danger to achieve power?

Let me try something, If I attack a lvl two Dracobat, what will happen?

so I storm towards it and Try clawing at it, which goes wrong fantastically.

it is rather strong and hits back, It slices of a wing of mine and I am about to smash to the ground, when I feel it regenerating already, and as that doesn't work, I feel the fall slow down and I go back, well, I had not enough luck this time... but I gained two esper Mutations.

[Esper ability: Feather fall, can slow down acceleration if turned on.]

[Esper ability: Hastened regeneration, Makes you regenerate a lot faster, from 1hp/H to 10 Hp/H lost limbs can regrow]

I do always find reasons to Avoid Humans, even though they would be the easiest way of XP, maybe I should meet them as a pet? Not happening, that would be too stupid even for me, coming to think of it, should I start distributing my points from the next lvl up between Luck and Intelligence? or Luck and Charm? I think I will vary the second point. I think my ability realy fits to my Luck Based Idea, so no, even if I would be hurt like now more often.

no, no distractions!

ok, think about it, what do Humans like? Anything that helps them, obviously. Something that fulfills the seven Sins of Humanity. So, I could help them Hunt or search for treasures, I could help them fight each other? and maybe I can help them boost their pride.

I'm gonna do a Demons work, like in those stories back from Gorn, my Old world.

Good, now that I have a plan... how the fuck am I gonna do it? Maybe... ah yes, The player essence has a command for it: System, Activate auto translation.

and now, I just need to fly out there and... maybe I should kill some bats and other things before that?

I mean, Those Humans where easy to kill, but I only won out of sheer luck, as far as I know.

I will never stop upgrading Luck... never!

and that's when I Realise the fact that I don't just depend on lvls to Grow stronger, but also have the ability of NPC's to grow stronger with training.

Well, I should better start Meditating and Feeling how it flows threw me.

[Due to a lot of lucky events, your Luck went up by one]

[Due to Thinking a lot more than is normal for your Race your Intelligence increases by one]

[For awakening your Esp and feeling it in your Body, you unlock the Mysticism stat]

Hah, I love it.

Ok now, the contract is simply a function that comes with being a NPC, I told a bat to get me some stuff and it said no, or rather Ignored me, so my quest was mentioned as denied, And even though I was seeing the Interface window, it didn't, which means to them it's only a verbal agreement, but the interface will recognize it as a Quest.

It seems that I can give quests to NPCs, or at least ask them for something and offer something in return, which will then be realised as a Quest.

Ok, now... I just have to test out what to do next.

So I scream, Fly out of the Cave and during the dark of the Night towards the big Fire a few caves downward.

And after breathing a lot I finally leave my Cave and fly Towards the fire, with a little Luck I should be able to survive this encounter.

And so I decide to focus just on flying, till I reach the Opening of the Cave where twenty People sit around roasting food.

And I just sit there and Hope for any of them to be stupid enough to leave the fire, or to show an exploitable trait that leads them to make a Deal with a fricken Dracobat Esper.
