Chereads / The Vampire's Cursed Slave / Chapter 5 - Cuatro

Chapter 5 - Cuatro

I gazed for a moment into the mirror, wondering about the mysterious man who saved me from death. My dark brown eyes focusing to see the depths part of the mirror's reflection, way more like dreaming while my eyes are wide open.

My mind clearly remembered his pale skin, which was as white as snow whilst, his thin lips were red as rose. When it touched mine, it felt like cotton in softness.

Reminiscing those moments gives chills to my body, times where I seemed to run out of blood as he was sharing oxygen with me.  My heart beats fast with the sense of familiarity of his presence on me.

"Ahhh!" a pain escaped my mouth, as my knees fell  on the floor. My hand cupping the back of my shoulders, I then felt an engraved pattern on my skin, as blood traces on my fingers.

I took the shirt off my body and examined my back through the mirror's reflection. Caught betwixt my eyes, is the rose pattern freshly engraved in sudden on the back of my shoulders.

The blood running down to my skin, as it was carved out freshly, but it was like magic. It just suddenly appeared.

That night was certainly the caused of my insomnia. Thoughts keep running on my mind infinitely,  prohibiting me to nod off.

And my back was healing quickly than I thought, but the pattern itself was left visibly on my skin.

I kept thinking who would dare to do filthy witchcraft on me, but no matter what comes to my mind. That man is always whom I assumed to had done it, probably something I did angers him and therefore, I need to find out.

My feet meander back to that murky forest but, it didn't look how it used to be the night I was lost in there. It looks completely different, the trees became normal when it used to be redwoods. The path is more clearer and more care free than being  secluded.

How did the place suddenly change? I was feeling puzzled, enough for me to feel I was losing my mind already, that maybe everything is just part of my dream or a delusion.

"Who are you?!"

"Show yourself! If you truly are real!"

I screamed, shrieking kind of hysteric tone. Plotting to know where I got this kind of confidence to myself.

"Tell me-!" my mutterings was cut out by  the hindrance of a deep and guttural voice, that even the crickets and frog have gone silent.

"You shouldn't have come here," It sounded slow and calm but intensely terrifying.

The chilly wind blew hard, slipping through my bones. As I felt a dark dismal presence at the back of me.

My body froze in an instance, as his fingers traveled to my arms up to my shoulders. His cold breath brushes to my cheek, when his words began to slip out of his mouth like an air.

"The biggest mistake you have done, was to comeback here to find me," I turned around as quick as I could, but I was hypnotize the moment I met the sharpness of his eyes.

I scrutinized the entirety of his face, he had a sharp eyes, keenly perceptive. An aquiline perfect nose aligned with his thin rosy lips. Which perfectly fits his chiseled feature, with a bit of  beard around his jaw.

I gasped out of disbelief, how could an evil man be this preternaturally handsome but then, I mellow out from his deceiving and seductive face.

Facing him with my upmost courage and confidence, my brows sunk and met each other.

"Who are you?"

He chuckled a bit, exposing his sharp fangs which made me step backwards.

"Are you afraid?" he asked mischievously.

"No"

"A total lie, I saw your feet stepping backwards." his provoking words woke my annoyance, indeed he is pretty quick to catch a single action.

"Just who the fuck are you?" the words mumbled out from my mouth, inserting annoyance between each letters.

Hence, he just smirked at me and deepened his dark aura.

"What is this nonsense pattern on my skin?" as my hand began to hold his collar, he vanished in the wind and my body flew hard towards the tree.

"Ahh!" I moaned, feeling the pain on my back due to that hard impact. My eyes began tearing, as his hands held my jaw tightly.

"That means that YOU ARE MINE," he emphasized the last words, whilst his red burning eyes intently looking at me, without a single movement of his lashes.

"And therefore, you should not touch an inch of me"

His looks didn't intimidate me, his voice rather but his looks never, indeed it annoys me a lot.

The tears lingering around my eyes, did not fall once but creates a vengeful look, built with aggressiveness.

"Now tell me if you're still not afraid," the other side of his lips lifted, while his eyes are flaming.

"Never"

He dropped me hard off the ground, which makes me feeble, crawling to gain enough strength to stand.

" You're such a hostile slave," he chuckled deviously, without breaking the ambiance of his dark aura.

" Interesting"

He smirked and bent down to equal our length.

"Accept your fate, and I'll spare your life,"  he reached his hand out, like as if it means that If I take it I approve to his agreement.

"What fate?" my eyes deepened, looking at him with a rigorous hatred.

"To serve me and be my slave."

"Never" I hissed, painting  shamelessness on my face.

"You have chosen your path, then may the curse be with you" he lift his body from the ground and turned around. His long black robe was dragging on the filthy soil, as his long slender fingers waved on his side.

He stopped for a moment and turn his head to me, while the hood covered half of his face, only exposing the bridge of his nose and his lips.

" And yet, if you ever felt regretful. Remember this place and call my name," he smirk once again before taking his walk but I spoke once again.

"Who are you?"

He stopped for the second time, and it took few moments for him to answer that difficult question.

"Filip"

After he left his name floating in the air, he vanished in eternity. Like magic, leaving me dumfounded.

Third Person's Pov

The hardest and unacceptable thing the vampire ever did throughout his life, was to claim his forgotten name.

He went back to his palace, in the deepest and highest part of the forest, no one had ever been. Coldness filled his suit, as he stepped a foot on the entrance. His old servant—Agustus, met his master with a worry in his eyes.

"My Lord, you didn't win her," Augustus uttered, his lips bent down, as his eyes were filled with gloom.

"She couldn't understand now but soon, she'll know there is nowhere safer she will be, than to accept her fate and be with me." the vampire's eyes slanted and took his hood off, handing it to his servant.

"But you have waited hundreds of years—" he cut him off with his up roaring voice, echoing in the entire room.

" Silence!"

"Prepare my bath," Augustus bowed and left. When the vampire arrived to the room, he took his robe off revealing his body full of scars.

Scars, that showed his dreadful and suffering past. Which probably explains his external personality, everyone had seen.

The huge lonely palace, had always been filled with melancholy. It was lifeless a long time ago but more devoid of life and abandoned place as of today.

As the cold water satisfied the heat of his body. He took a sip out from his fresh blood wine, which energized and awakened his sleeping muscles.

His right hand was clutching a red majestic ruby necklace, sparkling when hit by the reflection of the diamond chandelier.

The vampire chuckled mischievously, a disbelief appeared upon his eyes.

"Did she really think, she could invade me wearing this useless thing?"

He thought how stupid the idea is, since nothing in this world could weaken him and drag him down to hell.

And thus, no matter what happens he always gets what he wants.
