Another note was laid out on her belongings the next day and Gisella opened it with a broad smile on her face. It was obvious enough after the events of the previous day that she and Ryre had resolved her previous misunderstanding.
Her assumptions were proven correct when the contents of the note told her to meet him at their similar spot in the garden later that evening, and when evening came she was faced with a familiar back of a tall man waiting for her.
Only… it wasn’t the familiar back she was expecting.
Once he turned around at the sound of her footsteps coming closer Gisella was met with the beaming face of Galeran, rather than his brother Ryre, and her face fell as he embraced her in a hug.
“This is for you.” A rose, red as rubies and blood, was in his outstretched hand.
She accepted it thankfully but couldn’t help the frown that settled on her face.
